The Healing Power Of Tree Hugging

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comTrees and plants are the most powerful energy conduits on the planet, next to the various bodies of water, such as the ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, and so on.

It is no coincidence that many of the powerful energy vortex locations on the planet are typically surrounded by forests and abundant vegetation, such as Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England; Es Vedrà on the Spanish island of Ibiza; Mount Shasta in Siskiyou County, California; Machu Picchu in southern Peru; and the Mayan ruins in Tulum, Mexico. All these spiritual power spots feature either natural or man-made rock formations with a unique structure or design that draws energy from the surrounding vegetation, especially the trees.

Did you know that without trees humanity would not survive? Without trees to filter and replenish our air with oxygen, we would not be able to breathe without wearing gas masks. Trees are a vital link in the carbon cycle – a process in which carbon dioxide is constantly circulating through the atmosphere into organisms and back again.

Carbon is the second most valuable element to life, after water. Trees absorb carbon from the atmosphere and turns it into energy. The carbon is then either transformed into oxygen and released into the air we breathe, or stored inside the tree until it decomposes into the earth.

Without trees we will also starve, as there will no longer be nutrient-rich soil for us to grow food, and there will be chronic droughts. Planet Earth will in time become an arid wasteland. There will be no food to eat and very little fresh water to drink. Trees are essential to the energy of life.

That each day I may walk unceasingly on the banks of my water, that my soul may repose on the branches of the trees which I planted, that I may refresh myself under the shadow of my sycamore ~ Egyptian tomb inscription, circa 1400 BC

Like all places and things, trees also absorb imprints of the energy from every event and experience that has ever occurred around it. In eastern California, a Great Basin bristlecone pine tree known as Methuselah is 4,853 years old. This means Methuselah was already well-established by the time the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids at Giza.

According to recent reports there is also a Patagonian cypress tree in Chile, known as Alerce Milenario or Gran Abuelo (great-grandfather), that is potentially 500 years older than Methuselah. Now, that is a lot of ‘life experience’ and energetic wisdom these old trees have collected between the two of them!

Trees carry ingrained memories of everything that has ever happened in its surroundings. Every birth and death of every plant, insect, animal, and human. Every drought, every fire, every earthquake, every flood is remembered by the tree. Many trees hold their ground for centuries, through every storm and climate challenge. Sure, they suffer major setbacks sometimes, but mostly they just lose a few branches along the way. Yet, they usually overcome in the end and keep burrowing their wise roots even deeper into the soil.

The most wonderful thing about trees is that they freely share their innate power and wisdom with us. We always have access to their abundant gift of energy. This is why many spiritually aware people tend to also be determined environmentalists (sometimes jokingly referred to by the derogatory slang term ‘tree huggers’), because they regard trees and the natural environment to be vital to their well-being and spirituality.

One of the most profound and popular spiritual practices that anyone can engage in is some form of nature meditation. There are many good reasons why many believers all over the world enjoy walking meditations in the park, doing breathwork next to a stream, or performing outdoor Yoga in a forest or on the beach. And in my experience, the best possible form of nature meditation is tree hugging!

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit ~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Facing a tree and literally hugging it isn’t crazy at all. In fact, quite the contrary. Tree hugging is energetically healing and empowering. You can also sit with your back to the tree, which will move the Kundalini energy up your spine.

A three hugging meditation realigns and balances the chakras, and stimulates energy flow throughout our entire energy field, or aura. It cleanses, clears, and recharges. Trees are the ultimate energy alchemists. They transmute the toxicity of life’s ‘carbon’ into life-giving chi or prana – the powerful energy current that runs through everything in the Universe. Hugging a tree is like placing yourself on a recharger like a rechargeable battery!

Tree hugging is also the most grounding form of meditation compared to most other meditative practices. When we meditate and do not take proper care to center and ground ourselves first, we can become spaced out, disoriented, confused, unfocused, restless, anxious and even emotionally overwhelmed. Tree meditation prevents this, as tree energy is exceptionally grounding and centering.

So, the next time you are in a park or out hiking, take a few minutes to hug a tree…or two! It is like hugging a loved one. Their energy transfer you will experience is a gift from God, Source, Spirit, the Divine, and it is your spiritual birthright. And if you are privileged to have a large enough garden outside your home, then consider planting an indigenous tree, or two. Not only will it abundantly bless you with its presence, but also many generations to come.
