The Karmic Purpose Of Reincarnation

Do we reincarnate? I know from both personal and professional experience that we do. I also believe we continue to do so, until we have learned all the necessary lessons bestowed upon our soul. We also carry over karmic debt from one life to the next, which we must deal with before we can finally transcend and not return to another lifetime in this world.

Sometimes we experience clear signs and evidence of reincarnation in our daily lives. The most common is meeting a stranger and instantly knowing deep in your soul that you have known them before in another lifetime.

We also witness this in our families and among our friends. I have seen traits and mannerisms of my grandfather, who passed when I was young, in my son who is now an adult. It always makes me smile, as I know where he’s coming from.

I have also come across several people I have known in another life. Sitting in meditation, I have been shown the capacity in which we were connected before. In a past life regression, I have seen how one of my best friends was an archenemy in a past life.

Some people have unusual memories from another time, or a place they have never been, or they often experience déjà vu. Another sign of reincarnation is having recurring dreams about people and places not related to your waking life. Or strongly identifying with a foreign country or culture, or a particular period in history.

Some of us also have an inexplicable fear or phobia that has no basis in their current lifetime. I have always feared confined spaces, especially elevators, as well as dark basements, but I have not had any traumatic experience in my current life that can possibly explain these bizarre fears, but I have discovered its origins in a past life regression.

Meeting a soulmate is another phenomenon associated with reincarnation.   What is often not understood is that there is a distinct difference between soulmates and twin flames. Soulmates are simply someone who you have had a past life connection with, in some or other capacity. Such a familiar soul could have been your lover, spouse, family member, friend or even your enemy in a previous lifetime. There is usually unfinished business in this lifetime that has caused you to cross paths again. However, just because you have a soulmate connection with someone, it does not automatically imply that you are meant to be together as a couple.

There are different types of soulmates that cross paths with each other in various lifetimes. Some become romantically involved, and some have a long-term relationship or get married. But in time. they begin to grow apart, or increasingly engage in much drama and conflict, until the eventually separate and move on. This is a typical example of a karmic connection from the past being dealt with in the present.

If an unfinished karmic connection is not adequately dealt with in this lifetime, it will come up again in a future incarnation, and again and again, until it is resolved. However, if the two souls have learned what they needed to from each other and are able to part ways with healed, harmonious energy, their karmic debt is released, and they will not have to repeat the entanglement ever again. This is why constructively dealing with conflict, cultivating self-awareness and compassion, personal and spiritual growth, and inner healing are so important.

It is not difficult to spot karmic debt in your everyday life once you begin to pay attention. Think about someone you have met and felt that special soul connection with. Consider what has been happening in this lifetime with them, and between the two of you. You will soon realize if there is something that needs to be healed, or resolved, or forgiven.

For example, if it’s your partner cheating on you, it may simply be that you did the same to them in a past life. This time around it is then your karmic opportunity to clear your debt, by feeling how you made them feel in the past.  To resolve it, simply acknowledge, forgive, and walk away. It’s that simple, and yet people can make it so complicated!

You have the karmic power to grow and move forward for your highest good. Strive to master your karmic lessons and make every effort to repay your karmic debt. Forgiveness and clearing your past life legacy will empower you to soar in this life, and the next.
