Laughter Is A Spiritual Superpower

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI believe there are energies on this planet that feed off lower vibrations caused by fear, anger, depression, anxiety, jealousy, perversion, and hate. The more time we spend in such lower frequencies, the more we will attract even more of those negative energies.

On the opposite end of the energy spectrum, there is joy, love, forgiveness, light , positive thinking, and laughter that keep us in a higher vibration. Laughter is in fact one of the most powerful ways to raise our energy vibration. It even helps to heal our physical body and keeps our mind clear and our thoughts positive. It can be like a life raft that keeps us sane in a somewhat crazy world.

A sure sign that someone is going over to the ‘dark side,’ is when they lose their sense of humor. I’ve had friends who used to have a great sense of humor, until they were sucked into a dark mental state, some of them also using alcohol or drugs to self-medicate (which dramatically lowers our vibration). It’s quite alarming to witness the profound change in them. No more joking or upbeat banter. No more laughter. Not even a smile. Nothing.

I have a long-time friend who lately shows a complete lack of emotional connection. The first time I noticed this change with her was when realized she had stopped making jokes. She also stopped laughing at my jokes.

Throughout our friendship we have always relied on our like-minded sense of humor to deal with life’s challenges. We had used our sense of humor to manage the ridiculousness in life, and even our own dysfunctional behavior. Nothing is healthier than to be able to laugh at yourself!

But then she started losing empathy and interest in others. She increasingly became emotionally unavailable and dissociated. It has been sad and scary process to see my friend’s vibrant personality slowly fading. I have tried to reach out and lift her spirits, but she only checks in briefly from time to time, and then disappears again into the shadows.

One way to keep from becoming bitter or broken is to look at the lighter side of situations. Laughter is a powerful reliever of stress, and can be a great healer ~ Vivian Eisenecher

I had another good friend whom I lost contact with in my early 20’s, because she had developed a serious drug addiction and we eventually had very little in common. When I did reconnect with her some two decades later through social media, she had become very dark and negative. She was deeply into horror movies and had lost her sense of humor. She also had many serious physical ailments. It was interesting that she told me, her doctor told her, not to watch scary movies because it would increase her pain and physical discomfort, but she ignored his advice.

Laughter is vital to our physical health and mental well-being. According to Dr. Elizabeth Scott “laughter reduces the level of stress hormones like cortisol, epinephrine (adrenaline), dopamine, and growth hormone. It also increases the level of health-enhancing hormones, like endorphins.”

A 2017 study by the American Physiological Society concludes that “emotions also impact our immune function. Specifically, pioneering studies document a powerful connection between emotional status and the immune and neuroendocrine system.” In other words, joy, happiness, and laughter means a stronger immune system and less stress.

In general, I have noticed lately fewer people with a healthy sense of humor. Instead, so-called ‘outrage culture’ seems to be the new norm. When I was in my 20’s people were constantly cracking me up! Nowadays, I dare to make a joke and people look at me like I am making no sense to them at all. Is she joking, or what?

May laughter fill your home, relieve your stress, and strengthen your friendships. Do not let a day go buy without laughing; it is good for your health ~ Catherine Pulsifer

There is a hilarious episode in the famous 90’s TV sitcom Seinfeld, in which Jerry Seinfeld is dating a woman who never laughs at his jokes. She only says, “That’s funny.” But no laughter. Not even a smile. These days it feels to me we are now all living in that episode.

I sense that many people are becoming emotionally numb and losing their joy. We must hold on to our joy and laughter! It brings hope. It will save us. It is directly linked to the Light. It is one of the most powerful tools Spirit, God, Source, Universe, the Divine has given us to cope with the bad times, and fully appreciate and enjoy the good times!

Lighten up. Keep laughing, especially when times are dark, scary, or challenging. Laughter is part of our soul identity. We are able to laugh, because God wants us to laugh. Laughter is a gift from the Divine. It is a spiritual superpower.
