How To Interpret Your Dreams

Click Here NOW for a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comDreaming is the mind’s way of working through our everyday life experiences. Our dreams can tell us a lot about deeper self and what goes on in our subconscious mind. Dreams can reveal things we did not realize were weighing our mind or burdening our spirit. There’s a lot of value in paying attention to our dreams, and really diving into what they may be telling us.

Our dreams are however not only about processing daily life. It is also a powerful metaphysical conduit for communicating with our high self and spirit.

But which is which? When is a dream just a daily psychological ‘filing’ procedure, and when is it a profound psychic or spiritual phenomenon? Is there a way to tell? And how does one go about interpreting a particularly unsual dream when you sense it may be more than just an everyday recap?

Sensing that dream is more than just a dream is an intuitive hunch or gut feeling that one can develop through practice. It starts by simply by paying attention and becoming more aware.

The first tell-tale sign is a dream that is very profound, dramatic, or vivid. It is often also a dream you remember in every detail. What did the dream look and feel like? Did the dream seem any different from your usual dreams? Is there anything particular that stands out for you?

Psychic or spiritual dreams usually just feel very ‘different.’ This feeling of ‘difference’ is unique for everyone, so it’s best to trust your own intuition here. Once you start paying more careful attention, you’ll soon get a sense for what your ‘regular’ dreams feel like, compared to your ‘other’ dreams.

Beginning and committing to a dream interpretation practice is one of the best gifts anyone can give themselves. This is truly the greatest guidance anyone could ask for ~ Teresa Decicco

For me personally, it is as though these special dreams have a different ‘texture’ and there is a noticeable ‘weightiness’ to them. They just feel very different from everyday dreams.

Sometimes these dreams will also be on your mind throughout the day or even for several days. You may even have recurring flashbacks coming up unexpectedly as you go about your day.

Some of these dreams also feature obvious psychic or archetypal symbols that signals it may require further investigation. Some common symbols include water, animals, driving, being chased, falling, being trapped, teeth falling out, babies or having children, exams or tests, faulty equipment, demons, and death or dying.

Interpreting one’s dreams is actually a lot easier than people tend to think. If you want to analyze a dream you’ve had, start by asking yourself these questions:

1. How did the dream feel, and how did it make you feel emotionally?

2. How did you feel about each of the symbols or situations that stood out for you in the dream?

3. What do those symbols mean to you personally?

4. What are the traditional meanings of those symbols, and which of these most resonates with you?

No one dreams the same. Some may dream in symbolism, others may speak to Spirit, or are focused on intuition. We train our brains to capture what is most important to us. What we feed our subconscious fuels our direction ~ Lorin Morgan-Richards

Once you’ve determined that your dream was psychic or spiritual in nature, you can start to look at what the symbols and messages are telling you. Start by asking yourself: how did the dream make me feel? I mean specifically the emotions here. Were you happy, sad, scared? This is vitally important to understand what the dream may mean.

If you were miserable in your dream, it is likely offering you some insight into some circumstance that are currently not working for you in your life. You may have conscious awareness of these things, or you may not. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns and ruts that are not good for us and we may not necessarily realize it.

If you were happy in the dream, it may be pointing you toward things that will bring you more joy and fulfillment in your life. The emotions that come with a dream are a big part of understand why you are having that dream in the first place.

The next step is to identify the symbols and interactions that stand out for you. Let’s say you had a dream about a murder of crows. That seems ominous right? But wait – how did you feel about the crows? Were you happy to see them, or did they make you fearful? At first glance, crows may seem kind of dark and ominous to most people, but what does this animal symbol mean to you personally? What do you usually think or feel about crows in your waking life? How do you personally experience this symbol?

Once you are certain about your own attitude toward and interpretation of a symbol, it is helpful to then also find out its traditional meaning. There is at times more than one standard interpretation for a dream symbol and in this case it is important to pay attention to which description resonates with you personally.

During sleep our souls do not slumber, but they actively search the spirit realm for the revelations of God. Our spirits are not influenced or restricted by the limitations of the physical body while we are asleep. In the dreams of the night, we are able to see ourselves as God sees us in the past, present, and future ~ Barbie Breathitt

For example, crows are very resourceful birds. They are cooperative and have fascinating social rituals. They are also incredibly intelligent birds; they can even mimic words or sounds, like parrots do! Ever heard a crow bark like a dog? I have. It’s amazing!

Therefore, crows may be a symbol of cooperation, being more social, finding your place in the social order. They may also symbolize wisdom, intelligence, persistence, precognition, and adaptability. In some cultures, they are also considered messengers of the afterlife bringing messages from our departed loved ones.

Crows are traditionally considered to be a good omen, or a bad omen, depending on one’s cultural background or belief system. This is a great example of how subjective symbolism truly is. This is why it’s so vital to pay attention to how you feel in a dream. If you were fearful, perhaps it may be a warning or a heads up to be cautious. On the other hand, it may also come as encouragement to step into certain aspects of yourself and live your life more fully.

Interpreting your dreams takes some practice, but it can be very exciting to engage with this aspect of your psyche. You may make insightful, surprising discoveries about yourself and receive divine guidance that really helps to bring clarity to certain life challenges. You may also find out that you have psychic dreams more often than you even realize!

Our dreamscape is a mystical place where we are in deep communion with all the layers of our higher self, and we have nightly access to play, learn and explore in this wonderland in ways we simply cannot in our waking life.
