Unlock The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind
We are problem-solving beings, which is why we have thrived on this planet for so long. Where do the ideas for solutions come from?
Well, our conscious mind can come up with a lot of simple solutions to everyday problems. However, when it comes to more significant issues, it is our subconscious that saves the day.
As incredible as it may seem, experts claim that only 10% of our mind power can be attributed to the conscious mind, whilst a whopping 90% can be credited to the subconscious!
The subconscious mind is a mysterious, powerful phenomenon. I call it the ‘genie within.’ It is our gateway to universal intelligence and infinite wisdom. It is our pathway to higher consciousness. It is also a powerful aspect of our ability to create and manifest through the Universal Law of Attraction.
For example, when my son was small, my husband and I bought a beautiful yellow car. The car was indeed a pleasure to drive. However, my husband used to tease me and say things like, “You have a posh car – I wish I had a car like that! He would say it time and time again, but with no malice intended.
The problem was not so much what said, but rather how my subconscious interpreted his words. Inside I felt unworthy of such a car and guilty for having one far better than my spouse.
Unfortunately, within less than a year of owning my beautiful new vehicle, it was hit by a massive truck and smashed to smithereens. No longer did I have a ‘posh car.’ While I felt terribly sad about this and incredibly out of pocket at the same time, I did feel more at peace.
The reason man may become the master of his own destiny is because he has the power to influence his own subconscious mind ~ Napoleon Hill
The moral of story is that if you feel unworthy of something, as I did, then your subconscious can co-create with the Universe events and circumstances that may take it away from you. This is worth bearing in mind.
If you would like a better relationship, a more exciting career, genuine friendships and more direction and purpose in your life, then harnessing your subconscious mind more effectively can help you to do just that – and some!
So, how do we consciously tap into the subconscious when needed, and use its power to manifest positive things in life? The following strategies are clever ways to unlock the sheer genius of our subconscious mind.
Prime The Process
The first key to accessing the subconscious is known as the priming process. Forcing the conscious mind (the subconscious mind cannot be compelled) to focus on the task at hand, and putting emotion into the process, prompts the subconscious to acknowledge the full extent of the problem.
This inspires the subconscious to then spontaneously begin deliver ideas and solutions to the conscious mind, in order to help resolve the problem. How cool is that! You didn’t think you were mentally that powerful, did you?
Take Time Out
How often do you do nothing at all? If you are like me, that would not be very often. Is your everyday life focused on constantly dealing with one conscious task after another? If so, you are not giving your subconscious the time and space it needs to come up with problem-solving ideas and solutions.
In fact, research tells us that when we are in a relaxed state, and our brain waves are operating between beta and theta, our subconscious becomes much more effective at creative problem-solving.
This is why so many conscious living gurus and creativity experts recommend meditation and relaxation practices for empowering the mind. Meditation, listening to subliminal music, and creative visualizations, are all great ways of accessing our inner genius.
Become More Active
Regular physical exercise and fitness activities are not only good for the health of the body, but also for the mind. Our brain is at its very best when we are moving our bodies. While the body is in motion, the subconscious mind begins to generate some fresh ideas regarding problem-solving.
Keep A Journal
When a new idea suddenly pops into your head, or you have a sudden inner knowing about something, it is essential that you get it down on paper. Doing this will allow you to go back to your notes later and review these ideas that have come from the subconscious. If we don’t keep notes, we often tend to forget.
