The Intuitive Wisdom Of The Human Body
The more time I spend working in the psychic realm, the more it seems to expand outward and the more it has to teach me. There is a certain magic that happens during psychic readings, where I feel touched by Spirit.
Sometimes, after completing another session with a client, rather than getting back to everyday life, I just stay in my chair for a while, and commune with my guides. I thank them, and also absorb any further messages or information that I need to learn as a spiritual advisor.
However, I find the best time to learn from Spirit is actually in my free time, when I am not working. It is actually in my personal life where Spirit usually has the most to teach me. Those ordinary, mundane moments, when I am doing the dishes, or taking a shower, or cleaning the house, is often where I learn the most. Maybe this is the case because I’m in more of a receptive, relaxed state of mind? It also happens frequently at night, when I’m just about to fall asleep, or upon waking in the morning.
I find it truly amazing how divinely orchestrated everything is in the metaphysical realm. There is very little effort needed to be able to perceive so much. Each year that passes, I learn to trust my inner guidance more and more.
Lately, I have come to recognize once again that the human body is a highly sensitive, intuitive apparatus through which Spirit guides us. My physical body, and how it reacts to being around certain people, and in certain situations, is something I no longer take for granted. What I have observed is that my body is innately aware and instinctively intelligent, maybe sometimes even more than the rational mind.

Have you ever noticed how when you’re around certain people at home or work, or even when you’re at the grocery store, your body will intuitively tense up, or your solar plexus or lower abdominal area will feel like it’s pulling inward? It’s an uncomfortable sensation, and we’ve been so conditioned since childhood to discount these bodily responses, and to rationalize it in our mind. Many of us have even been told we are ‘imagining things’ or that we are being overly sensitive.
Just the other day, at the grocery store, there was a woman who seemed to be following me down every isle. Whenever I’d go to another isle, she’d be right there behind me, or will have just arrived in the furthermost isle that I chose to go to. I noticed that my body just wanted to get away from her, and that it was somehow disturbing to stand close to her. There was an energetic discord and I just did not want her in my auric field.
When I finally got into my car, I placed my hands on the part of my body where I felt most affected by this woman’s presence. In the past I would have thought to myself, “What kind of healer am I that I can’t be around a perfectly normal-looking woman in the grocery store?” However, these days I am much gentler on myself.
I decided to engage in a conversation with my physical body about this experience. I find that when I’m in a situation where my body can’t tolerate being around certain people, it is best to simply take time away, and listen. Our body is constantly sending us signals and information.
I asked my body why I had felt this way? My body immediately conveyed to me that the woman harbors much anger and bitterness. She feels trapped in toxic marriage and deeply resents her husband. Once I realized this, I thanked Spirit for the information, and reassured my body that I was safe now.

Louise Hay, author of the best-selling You Can Heal Your Life, was way ahead of her time on this matter. In her book, Louise provides a list of ailments correlating with the emotional, mental, and spiritual root cause behind the illness. Each and every time I have inquired into this book for my own health, it has always been spot on with revealing the underlying cause of the physical condition or symptom.
Knowing the psychic and spiritual value of a healthy body, I practice Yoga every morning before I do anything else. I also meditate to check in with my body each day, to develop a deeper, stronger relationship with it. I have learned to listen more to the innate wisdom of my body. The body is born knowing, and its innate wisdom is not something you can learn from a book.
