The Three Laws of Grace

Click Here now FOR a FREE psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThere are three primary Laws of Grace that function under the overarching Law of Attraction. Grace is generally associated with divine support or spiritual help, but in this context it simply means that we are always free to choose again.

The Law of Love

The first Law of Grace is the Law of Love. The Law of Love does not refer to feelings, sentiments or emotions. Too often it is assumed that love is a feeling we get when we are with someone, but in metaphysics and spirituality love is not a feeling.

Instead, spiritual love is choosing to accept others as they are and to want what is best for them. What most of us know as ‘love’ today is actually ‘like,’ because to like someone or something is conditional. Real love, on the other hand, has no conditions. It is unconditional.

There is also a common belief about ‘love’ that can be very damaging to relationships. Sometimes we create emotional attachments to future events and declare that “this is love.” Yet, it is impossible to love a future other – either you love a person, or you do not.

When people conjure up extensive images and stories about a future version of another person and attach their mental and emotional attention to these things, they often create a strong sense of painful longing, which creates within them the desire to change the other person.

It is this painful yearning that is the key to understanding, because with the Law of Attraction like always attracts like. Painful longing can only ever attract more pain. It does not even matter how compatible two souls are in this life, if one of them is participating in such a painful longing, then pain will inevitably become the result of the relationship.

Love is unconditional acceptance and there is only one love. Therefore, Buddhists believe one cannot have friends and enemies. If you have enemies then eventually all of your friends will become enemies, and vice versa.

Grace is the love that gives, that loves the unlovely and the unlovable ~ Oswald C. Hoffmann

In the Christian tradition it is written: “judge not lest ye be judged.” It refers to the same spiritual truth. Whatever we put out comes back to us. It is impossible to love one person and hate another. If there is hatred in the mind, then eventually it will be projected into all relationships.

Love has intelligence, because our ability to accept ourselves, while wanting what is best for everyone else, creates that pattern in all our experiences. This is why spiritual traditions say that ‘God is love.’

The pattern of love creates an entirely new trajectory in a person’s life and is a person’s capacity to create through choice. When we hold on to things like resentment, blame, guilt, criticism, and judgment, we are essentially surrendering our own power to the past, or to our circumstances.

The Law Of Joy

When we give in to worry and fear we are surrendering our power to the future. The only way we can experience our power is through accepting life as it is and then making choices based on the greater intelligence of love. This is the Law of Joy. Joy is the intelligence of love expressing itself through the human experience.

Joy does bring happiness, but joy is not just happiness. Happiness is a result of joy, but real joy is allowing love to express itself through us, as a result of our own authenticity.

It is common for people to project their sense of happiness to an ‘out there’ experience. The common narrative of ‘I will be happy when…’ often clutters the mind and then the pursuit of happiness becomes a never-ending cycle of longing and disappointment. Even when a person accomplishes one of their ‘out there’ happiness goals, it is often short-lived.

When we begin to recognize the wisdom of the Law of Love we naturally align our behaviors with the energy of love. This alignment enacts the Law of Joy. Our capacity to approve of ourselves and others then motivates us to become more creative and expressive. And since we are now expressing ourselves authentically, we will attract the people and circumstances that mirror the joy that we have.

Grace comes into the soul, as the morning sun into the world; first a dawning, then a light; and at last the sun in his full and excellent brightness ~ Thomas Adams

Joy is attractive. Consider for a moment who you prefer to spend your time with? Do you like to spend your time with people that are miserable and complaining all the time? Of course not! Do you enjoy spending time with joyful and loving people? Yes, absolutely. This is how these two laws function as a ‘grace’ in our lives.

True happiness is feeling good about the self. There is no other way to experience happiness. The door to happiness is a full expression of the cosmic law of love towards ourselves and others.

The Law Of Peace

The Law of Peace is produced as a result of the first two Laws of Grace. Peace is associated with our capacity to trust. When we trust that everything is already working out for our highest good, we are naturally in a state of peace.

Peace is developed through the understanding that love is intelligent and works itself out in a timely way. Peace is the absence of fear and worry. It creates through grace, because when we are in a state of peace we then attract more peace.
