The Universe Always Has The Better Plan
Our journey through life is constantly changing. Whatever circumstances you find yourself in today is temporary. In time it will change. It may not change overnight, or within weeks, months, or even years, but it will change eventually. For change is the only constant in our co-created existence.
Since change is inevitable, it makes sense to embrace these energies of ongoing evolution, expansion and transformation. It really makes no sense to live in constant resistance to the universal flow, for it is a tragic waste of our creative energy as co-creators and detrimental to our soul purpose and karmic growth.
Living a conscious life in harmony with the cycles of life and in sync with the creative pulse of the universe is one of the most empowering and karmically liberating things we can do for ourselves in this lifetime.
While many of us tend to think we have the best plan for our life and that we know exactly what is best for us, we often do not really understand what will best serve our highest good. But God, Source, Spirit, the Divine, always knows what is best for us, and sometimes it is not what we originally had in mind.
We have to admit to ourselves that we tend to have a biased way of wanting things to work out, and that sometimes it may not be in the best interest of all parties involved, or even ourselves, on a soul level.
Be brave. Let go. Trust the process. Allow the universe to reveal its beautiful plan ~ Amy Atherton
A few years ago, I was romantically involved with someone I was very attracted to. Our relationship grew and became quite serious. However, he was also struggling with debilitating depression and low self-esteem, which negatively affected our relationship.
I encouraged and supported him in every way I could. I even arranged therapy for him because that had been an important aspect of my own healing ten years earlier. However, after a year, he decided it was in his best interest to end our relationship. Therapy was not his thing and he felt he needed to go his own way.
During our breakup, I grieved deeply for our failed relationship. Not long after he left, we started talking again and he began assuring me that he was going to therapy and would eventually get the professional help he needed so that we could be together again in a healthy way. But he never followed through on these false promises.
Eventually, he withdrew completely, and I was once again left feeling betrayed, hurt, lost, and confused. I had no closure.
Years later, he contacted me again and apologized for his past behavior. He admitted that he had to hit rock bottom to finally find his path to healing. He now realized that he had not been able to clearly see his way forward while I continued to hold him back. He had to figure things out the hard way, without my help.
The key to his healing journey was his discovery of the cathartic power of writing. He now writes short stories and screenplays to cope with his anxiety and depression.
Sometimes you don’t even realize you’re blocking your own blessings by thinking negatively and holding on to the past. Learn to let go ~ Germany Kent
In just that one catch-up conversation, the painful lack of closure I had felt all these years about our relationship was instantly healed, and I was finally able to move on from that chapter of my life.
Today, we still keep in touch, but our karmic journey together is now complete. At the time, I very much wanted to spend the rest of my life with him, but it did not serve our highest good and the separate soul paths we needed to take to become who we are today. Looking back, it is very clear to me that it all worked out the way it was meant to and for our best.
If you are going through something similar, know that this too shall pass and in the end it will all make sense. Find the courage and inner strength to let go and trust the journey, even when it’s painful. Our failed relationships and experiences can lead us to growth and healing in unexpected ways. Surrender and allow the universe to work its magic in your life.
The path of life is always changing. Nothing is forever, nothing is guaranteed. But there is no need to fear, for the universe is on your side every step of the way. Let go of your resistance to change and allow life to take its course.
