Take The Heavenly Solitude Challenge! – Part Two
The benefits of solitude are many and can make a profound change in your life for the better. You can live a life full of happiness, clarity and fullness. When you do not make time for quietness and the wonderful inner stillness that solitude brings, life can get quite chaotic. It can make you nervous, anxious and prone to worry, and all the other negative emotions that can inundate our lives.
In my previous blog I encouraged you to take my solitude challenge. If you have not started yet, now is the time to do so! If you have started adding some moments of solitude into your daily routine, you should have experienced the effect of it by now. Some of the benefits you may have experienced may include any, or all of the following:
- Improved breathing
- Sleeping better
- Increased calmness and serenity
- Feeling more centered and grounded
- Inner peace
- Feeling happier
- Increased energy and enthusiasm
- Greater self-confidence
I’m sure you could have experienced more benefits than the ones I have listed above. When we experience the stillness we start to live in Zen. Zen is about going with the ebb and flow of life and being okay with not feeling the need to control everything. It is about inner guidance and meditation.
True silence is the rest of the mind, and is to the spirit what sleep is to the body, nourishment and refreshment ~ William Penn
For me solitude gives me the gift of inner peace. It has given me the feeling of not having to know what is going to happen next and welcome whatever comes in, and being okay with that. It’s about knowing that it’s okay to say “No.” Solitude helps me to release all energies that aren’t serving me and helping me to fulfill my destiny in turn by making everyone else around me benefit as well.
If you’re happy and smiling it has an effect on those around you for the better. If someone tries to take your happiness away you can simply apply what I shared in a past blog, which was to say to the person: “I am so sorry your having a bad day, I will pray and hope you have a better day.” You don’t have to absorb their negative energy.
Another benefit derived from solitude that is often overlooked is the everyday miracle. These miracles will come in when you align your energy to that of the Light, or God within, that bliss which is already within you. You connect with it and you just enjoy whatever happens and welcome new things. You are open to new options and opportunities, and are less fearful and judgmental.
I love solitude and hope that you will learn to love it as much as I do. It will empower you to have a happier, healthier life and get rid of the things and people that keep you from that wonderful goodness that solitude can bring.
