The Special Magic Of Autumn

I’ve often wondered if in a former lifetime I might have had a birthday in the fall? More specifically, I sense it must have been in the month of September, because I typically experience increased awareness and great change during this month.

Being a Gemini, born in June, this makes absolutely no sense, but I don’t always pay attention to what makes sense. I rather go with what feels right.

I feel a special magic in the air in the fall that I do not experience in any other season. In the autumn the world of the living seems to move closer to the afterlife and our deceased loved ones.

Traditionally All Hallows’ Eve on October 31^st is believed to be time when the veil between the two worlds is most thin and we can more easily connect with our departed loved ones on the Other Side.

In the Northern Hemisphere September is the time of year when Mother Nature is shedding her leaves as the cooler air moves. Might this also be a time for us to let go of the aspects of our lives that no longer serve us? And could it be that our deceased loved ones in Heaven support and help to facilitate this need for us to surrender and let go?

The energy of September is an in-between state of transition that will ultimately spark us into new beginnings. But sometimes we need a little bit of extra magic, as it takes much courage to let go of the old and familiar to step onto a new path.

Our family and friends in Heaven want to see us progress and grow while in the Earth realm. Our loved ones who have crossed over to the Other Side can see forward and backward in time. They have the ability to open doors for us who are still in this life.

Fall is the time of year that we set up our internal space and make room for what’s to come in the next year. We create room for our greater visions to grow, by allowing the empty space and silence to take hold of our internal spaces ~ Chloë Rain

The colorful changes we see as we approach the Autumn Equinox reminds us that change happens whether we choose to participate or not. We can turn a blind eye and try to deny the need for change, but the leaves will continue to turn, the colder weather will move in, and in time the winter will arrive. The cycles of life continue, and things are always changing, whether we want to accept it, or not.

September and the fall represent a time that change is happening all around us and within. Our time on Earth goes by quickly and in order to do what we came here to do, we must be open to personal change, as well as assist others with changes they are experiencing in their lives.

If you feel a little apprehensive about changes you may be experiencing, call upon a deceased loved one, the person you were closest to in this life, and ask them to build a bridge or open a door for you, to get from where you are to where you need to go this fall. Ask them to hold your hand, to ease your worry, and to bring some magic into your life, just as they did while they were in this life.

Our deceased loved ones will go out of their way to show us they are around us, we just need to be alert to notice their signs and messages. When my dad passed away, he came to me as soon as he reached the Other Side. He told me he was reunited with his parents and relatives. He also showed me the color orange, of which the significance was revealed later that day when the florist delivered a huge bouquet filled with beautiful orange flowers.

Thanks to the changing nature of life, each and every day presents us with new mysteries. The crisp fall air and changing leaves personify these unknowns. And once we accept those unknowns, we have more capacity to live life to the fullest ~ Kirsten Nunez

Then, my mother’s neighbor came by with food trays that were all bright orange. That evening, my mother went through a box of old photo albums that we hadn’t looked at for decades. The first album she went through had an orange cover on it! These are just a few examples, as the orange theme went on and on for the first week after he was gone.

The fall season has a magic all its own and when you think of the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth, it is in my view the most profound time of the year representing the endless cycle of creation.
