Afterlife Signs From The Dearly Departed

When someone close to us passes on they often give us signs to let us know that they are still around. Our loved ones are very eager to let us know that everything is fine with them when they cross over.

Those who have passed on still know what goes on in our daily lives and they still love us. They want us to know that. Not all of us can always sense them around us, that doesn’t mean they will not give us a sign.

These signs from the other side come in different ways, shapes and forms:

Animals & Insects

Loved ones often come to us in the form of an animal or other creature, from a butterflies and puppies to birds and wild animals. These animals might show up from nowhere, cross our path, call to us from outside, fly into a room, or even land on us! The Monarch butterfly is a well-known symbol of loved ones visiting us from the spiritual realm.

Objects

Our loved ones often meddle with household objects to get our attention. They might make things disappear, or place them in unusual and unexpected places. They also leave items for us to find in noticeable places, such as coins, feathers, rocks or personal items significant to them, such as a piece of jewelry or a book.

Visitations & Apparitions

Loved ones sometimes appear to us in a room or corridor, or in a car driving by. Sometimes these clairvoyant apparitions can be very bold and clear; more often they are a brief glimpse or fleeting awareness.

Our dearly departed also visit us in our dreams and have conversations with us while we are in the dream state. You know it’s a love one with you, because you will feel safe and at peace. A visitation dream is one of their best tools to let us know they are around us. If you ask a loved one to come to you in a dream it will usually happen. Ask them also to wake you up as soon as they are about to leave, because you might not remember the dream later if you don’t.

Smells

Fragrances and odors are another commonplace occurrence when the deceased attempt to make contact. The most commonly cited are various flowers, cigar or cigarette smoke, and perfume. Sometimes you might smell it around you, but not think anything of it, and all of a sudden you might get an extra strong “spray of perfume” in front of you to make you aware. If this happens to you know that your loved one wanted to make sure that you know that they are with you.

Music & Sound

Your loved one may play a song that they loved over and over. You might hear this song everywhere you go…in the car, on television, in the mall. Sometimes when you’re feeling sad or your having a bad day, they will let you hear the song on the radio or they might use certain words from a song to send you the answer that you were looking for. Buzzing noises and other sounds is another way they might communicate with you. They often use a higher type of frequency which you would experience as a ringing in your ears or a vibration in the room.

Numbers

Similar to the 11:11 phenomenon our loved ones also use numbers to connect with us. It can be a date on a birth on a number plate or an anniversary on a billboard. They tend to use the same numbers repeatedly. You might see the same number on a clock in your car or your smart phone every day at the same time.

Technology & Electronics

Modern technology, especially electronics, is also an ideal medium for them to make contact with us. They might flash the lights, turn on appliances, open garage doors, interfere with radio signals, turn on the TV or CD player, or make phone calls.
