The Unseen Spirit World Around Us
While traveling this summer, I stayed at in a vacation rental home on the coast of Oregon. It is an older house which has been completely gutted and redone from floor to ceiling. It has every finishing touch you could imagine and is across the street from the beach.
One day, while sitting in the master bedroom with the door partially open, I thought I saw a white, sheepdog push the door open with his nose to come in and greet me. He looked quite happy with his tail wagging. He was adorable and filled with loving energy. I blinked my eyes and looked again, but he was gone? I then realized I had just seen a dog in spirit, who used to live in that house.
Many people have this type of occurrence happen on a daily basis, but do not understand or trust what they see. Often we glimpse things out of the corner of our eye, or peripheral vision, but most of us interpret this as simply being due to our imagination. We thought we saw something, but there was nothing there when we looked again. Unfortunately, our modern culture encourages us to trust only our logical, linear mind over our intuition.
When Spirit shows up in the form of our deceased loved ones from the Other Side, and this includes our departed pets, we can become aware of them through our psychic senses. People who are more sensitive tend to be able to pick up on the subtle presence of Spirits who come to visit.
One of the best ways we can increase our psychic sensitivity or awareness of Spirit is through meditation. The psychic senses, often referred to as the ‘clair senses,’ allow us to perceive the ‘unseen’ beyond our everyday senses.
Even though clairvoyance is somewhat common, many people who are very clairvoyant discredit their clairvoyant abilities as a daydream, wandering of the mind, wishful thinking, and their imagination ~ Amanda Linette Meder
Seeing certain things, like moving shadows or quick glimpses, is known as clairvoyance. It may seem as if we are seeing these things with our two physical eyes, but the perception actually occurs courtesy of our psychic third eye, believed to be located in the center of our forehead between our eyebrows.
A good way to increase our third eye vision is the practice of Yoga. Some poses in Yoga require that we focus on what is called a drishti focal point. This is a certain spot you choose to gaze at while you hold the pose. It helps you to keep your balance better and serves as part of the discipline of holding a particular posture. Staring at a drishti point, I have found, also increases third eye vision.
Seeing animal and others spirits is much easier to do and just comes more naturally when you begin to trust what you’re seeing. We are trained to question ourselves from a young age, especially those of us raised by parents who don’t believe in, or understand the psychic senses.
Most of us have had a family pet pass into Spirit. What I have discovered through doing psychic readings is that a family member of ours on the Other Side escorts or accompanies our deceased pet, and is also the one who tends to spend the most time with them in Spirit. The pet and the family member tend to resonate with each other, and when one comes through, they bring the other one with them.
So, if one day you’re in your kitchen and think you saw your deceased cat swirl her tail around your legs, you just may have had a visit from her. If your aunt Helen loved cats, she is most likely around too. Look out for signs of anything out of the ordinary, such as flickering lights, weird sounds, or living animals watching something invisible in the room. Spirit is persistent and if they can’t get your attention the first time, they will certainly try again!
Clairvoyance is a psychic ability that often needs no provocation. Clairvoyant visions can come to you while you’re lying in bed at night, crossing the street, or while having a meeting at work. It just happens, and there’s no stopping it ~ Tana Hoy
We are in the most dense of all the dimensions in this physical dimension. Deceased loved ones in Spirit travel at a much faster vibrational frequency and can only hold themselves here for so long. One moment you see them, or sense their presence, and the next moment they are gone. Now you see them, now you don’t.
According to scientific studies, our eyes only see within a certain range. Have you ever wondered about all that we are maybe not seeing, due to the limitations of our physical sight? Become more open, curious, and receptive to the wonder that surrounds you. The unseen world around us can become part of your everyday life. Once you see the eternal nature of Spirit, your life here on Earth will never be the same.

Awe I loved this. Thanks! I’ve seen spirits, but never my deceased pets. I have had surreal dreams with them though, so I am thankful for that at least. 🙂
