Your Personal Power Of Intuitive Resistance
We are constantly being bombarded with new trends about diets, places to live, what to wear, unique ways of exercising, fashionable holiday destinations. This also includes how and when we should leave this realm… despite our own personal inner beliefs, and our connection to spirit whom ultimately makes all our pertinent decisions based on the soul’s guidance system and truth.
Today, more than ever, with access to the Internet and social media, we are continually exposed to every health expert, fashionista and spiritual guru out there, as well as anyone who believe they can tell us how to decorate our homes, where we should eat when we dine out, how to find a soulmate, and what is the best food for our pets. The list goes on.
Who to believe? What do we really need to know? How do we apply this new and improved information, which seems to be in direct conflict for what we are trying to accomplish for ourselves in our daily lives? Instead of leaving us with a feeling of satisfaction or accomplishment, we are more confused than ever and are creating so much more anxiety when we are attempting to make even the simple decisions for ourselves.
A young friend has latched on to the next great expert in telling him what he should eat, when to eat it, and a few other timely suggestions. I am certainly not opposed to doing everything we can to maintain a healthy body and spirit. However, what has become of the trust gauge we all have inside of us? Where does spirit reside these days, with all the new outer truths that we are led to believe. What has become of our own inner guidance system?
You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go ~ Dr. Seuss
When my young friend was sharing his newfound nutrition plan with me, my resistance became abundantly clear in an instant. In the world that I live in, from my inner self, something must connect to truth and make sense to me on every level. I am easily three times this young chap’s age and I am in excellent health. I do not have diabetes, have no high cholesterol, or high blood pressure. Neither do I have the myriad of health issues that people my age are ‘supposed’ to experience. I take no medication of any kind, walk for an hour every day and have an abundance of energy.
Is my good health simply a stroke of luck? Is it in family genetics? This idea I cannot accept, since most of my many siblings are on some type of medication on any given day. Instead, to me the magic is in my ability to tap into my body that will accept or resist any new input coming it’s way.
It could be as easy as someone mentioning a new movie that is hot on the big screen, or an instant cure from some malady by ingesting a certain food product. It is not so much as to what my body will accept, but more to the point of what it will resist.
This can work in many different arenas. I recall applying for a job some many times in over the years, and somehow knowing I will not be able to get along with the new boss. Or what about going on an outing with a person you had a negative vibe from, but due to not trusting your resistant self, you place yourself in a precarious situation?
Avoid the crowd. Do your own thinking independently. Be the chess player, not the chess piece ~ Ralph Charell
Our bodies have a natural and automatic movement to it when introduced to a new thought or idea. It will quickly form its own volition move, either in what appears to be a forward manner which is connected to the yes factor, or conversely pull backward, which is your greatest access to what is good and right for you.
I so believe this has happened to all of us at some point in time, even if we are not always consciously aware of it. The minute you start paying attention to the possibility of it, you will clearly see for yourself that you undeniably possess this fabulous attribute of your own personal power of intuitive resistance.
