A dear client I have been reading for many years called me the other day to finally confirm what I always knew was going to happen. As much as I was not shocked or even surprised, this event “blew her mind,” as she bluntly put it.

You see, for years she had sworn up and down that she would “never, ever, ever in a million years” hear from her soulmate again, but now she has!

From my perspective, it was always just a matter of time. For years I told her not to lose faith and to hold on to the mystical love they shared because one day he would come back to her. But she kept shrugging and rolling her eyes and muttering things like “in my dreams” and “when pigs fly.” She just couldn’t accept the fact that he would one day be coming back into her life.

I must confess that while I was not surprised by this long-anticipated outcome, I was a bit intrigued by it for the simple reason that I thought for sure that her constant negative thoughts and feelings about the situation would eventually create so much energetic resistance that it would prevent her from reconnecting with him at all! But not even her constant self-sabotage and negativity could stop the turning of the wheels of destiny and divine timing. If we are meant to connect with someone who is our soulmate, it’s bound to happen one way or another, whether we trust the process or not.

There is definitely a manifesting power in our thoughts and words, so what we say and believe to be true will become our reality, for we are indeed the prophets of our destiny. But if something is written in the stars and locked into our soul plan, it will not matter much in the end. We can certainly slow things down unnecessarily, or complicate things, and cause ourselves endless stress, anxiety, and frustration, but if it is meant to be, it will be.

For her, I always saw that this love connection was meant to happen for them in this lifetime — once they both took care of some other soul contract loose ends and unfinished karmic responsibilities. And now it was finally happening, just as Spirit had predicted.

She told me that he had called her and wanted to meet and talk. They met in a coffee shop around the corner from work where he proceeded to tell her how deeply sorry he was for not calling her and how he had been thinking about her all these years.

He then also revealed that he had been in a loveless marriage and had to get out because he could no longer live a lie. Apparently, he had recently thrown in the towel on his wife and had taken some time for himself to do some soul searching. He took some time off work, went on vacation, and apparently gained some clarity of thought so that he could follow the path that would lead him to greater fulfillment.

They ended up making plans to meet again later that evening and ended up talking into the midnight hour just as they always used to before life separated them. Now they have a trip to Mexico planned and are still at an age where they can just enjoy, relax and make memories together. Life, as she puts it, is finally coming together for her.

I am so glad that he finally reached out to her because she had essentially put her life on hold waiting for him. She could have let other people come into her life, but she waited for him and put all her energy into this man. Deep down she always knew he was the one, even though she couldn’t believe he would be back. But as I have told her in the past, everything happens in divine timing!

I am so happy it worked out and they got back together sooner rather than much later. She waited long enough.
