How To Get Your Day Off To A Great Start!
Always begin your day as you intend to live your life. This is one of the basic spiritual wisdoms my mother taught me when I was a small child. Fifty years later, I realize how right she actually was! Getting your day off to a great start is important because it puts you into a positive frame of mind, and as a result activates the Law of Attraction, empowering you to manifest more positivity in your life.
Starting the day on a positive note primes you for being in problem-solving mode. It is never easy to solve problems when you are feeling negative. By putting yourself in a positive mindset, you will feel much more confident in tackling life’s challenges. And the more we address our issues, the more confident and empowered we become.
We become more comfortable to live with, and work with, if we start our days off with a higher vibration. It goes without saying, that most people prefer, both personally or professionally, to be around positive individuals. Most folks are drawn to positivity, rather than negativity.
Therefore, by putting yourself in a positive headspace every morning, your personal and professional relationships will not only get off to a good start, but will also increasingly stay in a good place, day after day. How good is that!
The above all said, just how do we go about starting our day in the best possible way? Personally, I find the following strategies to be very effective:
Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have ~ Lemony Snicket
Affirmations
Choose on a positive, inspirational quote, saying or affirmation for every new day. There are many online for you to consider. Write your selected affirmations in your journal or on a card, and place it on your bedside table, or stick it to your bathroom mirror, so that you can read it to yourself as soon as you awake. You can also schedule them as daily reminders on your phone.
Meditation
Use the first hour of your day to indulge in some peaceful, off-the-grid ‘me time.’ Don’t check your emails or phone messages. Do not turn on the news. Early morning is good time for some ‘digital detox’ and serious self-care. Get into the habit of doing a short meditation or prayer every morning. Download or stream some inspiring guided meditations if you struggle to meditate on your own.
Exercise
Exercise is not only good for our body, but also boosts our mood. I am blessed to live close to the ocean, and can easily fit in a 30 minute walk on the beach in the mornings, before my working day begins. If you are not so fortunate to live near the beach, the woods, or a park, do an online Yoga class in your living room, or visit your local gym.
Now that your eyes are open, make the sun jealous with your burning passion to start the day. Make the sun jealous… or stay in bed ~ Malak El Halabi
Nutrition
What determines how we function and feel, so take advantage of this fact by tucking into a healthy, mood-boosting breakfast. Think organic, serotonin boosting, blood sugar stabilizing, whole foods. A nutritious, healthy morning menu will ensure that feel-good factor to kick start your day.
These strategies are just my personal favorites. What works for one person does not always work for another. Adapt your morning routine to your personal needs, as long as it nurture and uplifts you physically, emotionally and spiritually, you really cannot go wrong.
By developing a great start to your day, it will help you to do the same the next day, and so on. Therefore, you can look forward, with a little planning, to having a great week, an awesome month, and yes, a fantastic life!
