Trust Your Gut First, Your Heart Second
How do you know that what you are doing is for your highest good? How do you know if what you want out of life is based on your own desires, or if it has been placed there to be achieved by the Universe?
Everyone has a higher purpose in this lifetime and yet many never seek it out or achieve it because the ego starts to become more prominent in their lives instead of their higher self.
When you were born, a deep-seeded life calling was placed within you. As children, we were able to tap into it, always knowing that we wanted to be a fireman, a policeman, a doctor, an astronaut, an artist, a lawyer, a dancer, a scientist, or a princess. Some of us just wanted to help others, even at a very young age. We would be kind, caring, and giving to other people, whether they were children, adults, or seniors.
Unfortunately, this energy has been buried over time by the society and culture we live in – whether it be teachers, parents or mentors.
Has anyone ever laughed at you when you told them what you wanted to do or be? Did someone say, “Go back and think about that, because that will never happen”? Each of us has a different story as to why we do or do not achieve our passion and purpose in life.
Today is the day to decide, “I will achieve my dreams as long as they come from spirit and are for my highest good.
It is time to look at your dreams for your life from a deeper perspective. How do you feel when you take one of your dreams and really look at what it is? Are you lost? Do you feel it’s hopeless or too late? Do you feel there is no way it can ever happen? Or are you filled with an optimistic energy that says, “I can do, be or have anything that is for my higher self.”
Intuition is always right in at least two important ways; It is always in response to something. It always has your best interest at heart ~ Gavin De Becker
When you take an “I can” attitude and know in your gut (not your heart) that your decisions are made with the help of your guides and angels, things will fall into place for you. Doors will open and opportunities to connect with others will present themselves.
When you are in an attitude of I can, you will also feel a new energy prompt deep in your gut from your guides and angels urging you to move forward and follow the dreams that are deep within you.
Your gut knows. It is a huge part of what is needed to move forward on any journey. When you feel the calm or even excited anticipation coming from your gut, you are on the right path. If your gut is telling you no, then do listen. It is not saying that your dream is unattainable; it is simply saying that the way you are doing something is not for your highest good.
Each of us has the ability to connect on a spiritual level and receive the messages or answers we desire, but we must be careful not to confuse what’s in our heart with what’s in our gut. Your heart is the emotional center, the core of love and connection. Your heart is where you feel love and hurt, compassion and revenge.
The signals from our heart can be confusing at times because it sends misleading information to the brain. Your gut is the truth of who you are and the pure connection to your higher self, and you must learn to listen to it over the temporary feelings in your heart. This is why so many relationships fail. Listening to your heart when your gut is telling you the opposite is often devastating.
The more you trust your intuition, the more empowered you become, the stronger you become, and the happier you become ~ Gisele Bundchen
Many have married someone when their gut told them that person was wrong for them because their heart told them they loved that person. A few years later they wake up and their spouse or partner has left for someone else and they are stunned as to why. Simply put, they chose to listen to their heart over the warnings of their gut. It is not a punishment, simply a life lesson that their guides were trying to send them information that they needed to pay attention to.
Our gut is the core of our highest good. Learn to trust it.
This does not mean that you ignore your heart feelings. They are necessary for you to relate to yourself, others, spirit and the divine. It is simply a matter of learning how to differentiate what to pay attention to. Always go with your gut first and your heart second.
Listen to your gut when making decisions, whether it is about your love life, career, material needs, spiritual growth, or life in general. You will always get the answers from your inner guidance, and it will always be for your highest good.
