Our Spiritual Contracts

Before we come into this lifetime, we design a soul contract. We choose a family that we want to be born to and we plan specific things that we want to accomplish, such as career, relationships, children, and so on. The contract is about our spiritual self and therefore also includes those things that we need to overcome and learn from.

Some of the more important things in your contract may come as a surprise, because often they are those things you do not want to do! This is usually a sure way of knowing that something is contractual. The things we prefer to do, or have done, we’ve already mastered, but the challenges and obstacles offer us opportunity to overcome our fears and anxieties, to step forward and learn more, to grow spiritually.

Some contracts are also much longer than others. Some of us remain here for a long time, while others do not. I doubt anyone knows for sure, but for the time that we are here, we must make every effort to learn and grow from every life experience.

This is also why some of us attract the wrong people, and constantly get into the wrong relationships? In these cases it is often your soul contract trying to teach you to speak up for yourself and claim your self-worth.

When old souls come in, usually nothing bothers them. They tend to take things with a grain of salt. However, when new souls come in, they are often very excited about so many things and can’t seem to get enough done.

Then there are the grounded souls. When they come in, they are here to keep people grounded and stable, and therefore they are typically very loving and caring people.to become more enlightened with a certain aspect of your consciousness, to fulfill karmic debts from past incarnations and to understand the essence of your being as Divine Love ~ Geoffrey Jowett

There are also the creative souls, who are very talented, but also have a lot of emotional stress. Part of their contract is to learn to manage their stress better, so that they can be more open to their creative gifts.

Soul contracts are the only reason that we come back, and each of us come here for many different reasons. We know that there will be challenges to face. We choose and decide beforehand with our free will what those challenges will be. No contract is easy. In fact, it is the simple things that often help us evolve the most

Loved ones can also help us fulfill our contracts, but ultimately we have to face it on our own. Everyone comes in with something challenging: a character flaw, a personality trait, an illness, a disability of some kind, or some situation that will challenge us to evolve. Nothing is ever perfect or uncomplicated in this physical life. That’s why we should always want to support and help one another.

In order for us to continually evolve, I believe we have to return to Earth repeatedly. Also, it can become a little ‘boring’ to always be in Paradise. So, after you complete your contract and your time is up, and depending on when that is, you go to the light, and reunite with your soul group, until your next return.

What happens if you do not fulfill all the requirements of your soul angreement? Absolutely nothing. On the other side there is no punishment. Fortunately, we usually fulfill our contracts, one way or another.

All souls on Earth are here at different times and stages of their conscious evolution, some are closer to their end and some are still at the beginning. No matter where we are, we are all contracted to be here.
