Postcards From Spirit

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comSpirit messages often remind me of old-fashioned postcards and modern day text messages. As a child I loved receiving postcards from family and friends all over the world. Postcards were a way to see other places and how other people lived, before the era of texting and social media. Postcards were a way to send short messages just to say I’m thinking of you, similar to the way my grandchildren these days send each other short text messages… while they are in the same room!

Postcards and text messages have another similarity. Sometimes the messages are abbreviated and the person reading the message may not always understand exactly what the sender was really trying to say. And as it is sometimes necessary with postcards and texting, spirit messages often also require us to ‘connect the dots’ or read between the lines.

People may read or hear the same message, yet get several different meanings of what the sender was saying. This is one reason a person can have readings with several different psychics, mediums and diviners, and come away from them very confused, because the readers interpret messages differently. For this reason it is best to find one or two readers you feel comfortable working, instead of consulting with too many different readers.

Also, when having a reading, some people only hear what they want to hear. Anyone getting a reading is only going to get out of that reading what they are open to receive at the time. This is why people often say to me during readings,  “You are confirming everything that I have been thinking.” A good reader will typically validate that your intuition is right on. As a psychic medium, if spirit is giving me the same information that you are getting, I would trust what is being said.

It is my belief that all people are psychic to some degree. All people have a clue from their higher self what is the best information for them. It may not always be what we want to hear, but it is always what we need to hear.

Just like a postcard or a text message, spirit messages are usually also short and sweet. It doesn’t really matter if a spirit message is short and sweet, or hours long. Either way is okay, as long as the message delivered in a kind helpful manner.

I believe all readers are working to bring through what is for their client’s best and highest good. Sincere readers are not trying to prove how great they are. They simply want the best experience possible for all clients. All readers are happy for their clients when the information is helping the client make the best choices for their life. Almost all the people I met that do readings of any kind are natural empaths and caregivers. Helping others is usually a part of their DNA.

By the way, if you can only afford a short reading, it’s best to get right to the point. In my experience, ‘testing’ a reader when you are on a budget is a waste of your time and money. The old saying ask and you shall receive holds true, especially when your time is limited.

Sometimes clients have a couple of questions in mind, if they don’t ask the question that is most prominent they will get an answer to the second question. Spirit can be tricky that way, because the second question may really be what the client needs to hear. So, the more direct people are when they are having a reading, the better the reading will be. Especially when time is running out, it just doesn’t make sense to me spend half of the reading trying to test the medium.

Not for the first time in the history of the universe, someone for whom communication normally came as effortlessly as a dream was stuck for inspiration when faced with a few lines on the back of a card ~ Terry Pratchett

There are no guarantees when working with spirit, but why not have the best shot possible at getting your questions answered and talking to who you would like to talk to. I asked spirit how to do this. The answer I received was: “Ask for us.” It makes a lot of sense. You don’t call someone on the phone and if someone else answers, you talk to that person instead. You would ask to speak to the person you called. Spirit communication is a three-way conversation. I am just the phone in the middle. In that conversation the spirits communicate information that seals the deal.

When I’m doing a large event with gallery readings, my greatest reward is always when the people attending the event are happy, especially when they receive a message from the person they wanted to talk to.

Another thing I advise my clients to do is to not ask a question they are not sure they want to hear the answer to. Think about what you really want and expect from a reading. Sometimes short and sweet like a postcard works just fine. Another time you may need an hour to fill in and fine-tune the understanding of what you are receiving.

In closing, remember all readers are working for you and want the best experience possible for their clients.
