Be The Star Of Your Show!
Are you the star of your own show? If not, then maybe it is time. For once put yourself first by honoring your spirit, your sacred body temple, and the higher work you have been called to complete in this lifetime.
You can begin by honoring your spirit with deeply soulful ‘food.’ This can take the form of meditation, prayer, or simply enjoying whatever self-care activity or spiritual practice feeds your spirit the most. But in doing so, it is important to consciously disconnect from the mundane world around you, and allow the blissful energy of Spirit Divine to pour in.
As I write these words, I can literally feel the healing energy of the sunlight bathing me, even though I am logging on from deep in the cold Rockies on a cloudy afternoon. This intense energy is a message to my soul that each of us has the ability to tap into spiritual warmth and renewal within a single thought.
My late mother used to call this connection with the Divine the I AM presence that is abundantly accessible to us all. It is important to tap into this presence as a reminder that we are spirit energy, divinely guided, protected, and in ‘the spotlight of our own shows.’
Being a ‘star’ also means that you must take deliberate time to honor your sacred body temple. You do this by enjoying healthy foods and balanced nutrition.

You also stand in the spotlight when you incorporate some form of physical exercise in your daily routine. We are happier when our blood is flowing and our muscles and limbs sing a song of joy. It is no secret that physical activity impacts brain health and boosts our mood.
A new shade of lipstick, or a brand new outfit or hairstyle, can also do wonders for honoring who we are, as they enhance confidence and motivate us to shine in the spotlight of our divine life.
We can especially star in our show by taking a careful assessment of our personal needs and goals. Was there anything left undone or unaccomplished last year? Is there a course you long to complete, or a certification that might enhance your professional life? If so, now is the time to prioritize schedules and move forward in a disciplined and tenacious manner.
Whatever you are seeking in 2020, begin to make room for your blessings, firstly through a shift in your consciousness, followed by manifestation in your world. As my dear mother always said, “You must see with your heart and mind that which you desire and make room for the blessing to manifest.”
A recent conversation with a friend left me pondering how I will show up for my own show in 2020. My friend reminded me of the importance of guarding one’s peace, as you move through life on a daily basis. She shared a story with me of how the negative energies of others often left her feeling overwhelmed, distracted, and disconnected from her personal mission.
When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life ~ Jean Shinoda Bolen
I understood exactly how she felt, because I have often reached out to help someone only to be pulled into a deep well of negative energy that has left me off-kilter for hours or days. The danger in allowing this, is that we miss out on becoming the stars in our own show and somehow someone else’s stuff has shown up center stage in our lives!
My dear friend reminded me that each of us is responsible for our own ‘stardom’ by taking back the microphone and following the orchestra with our own song. Guarding our peace doesn’t mean that we cease being great friends, or offering a shoulder to lean on once in a while. But it does insist that we honor our mission, respect our goals, maintain diligence in pursuit of our dreams, and show up as the stars of our own show.
