New Day, New Year, New Vision
New Year’s Day is the perfect opportunity to reboot your life and redesign your future. What haven’t you manifested that is important to you? What tugs at your dreams moving forward? Today would be a good time to do something about it and change your life for the better.
However, if you only come across this later in the year, fear not. Any day can be the first day of a brand new year for you. It does not have to be January 1st. Your New Year’s Day can be whenever you choose it to be. Today, is a new day, just as tomorrow will be, and so forth. Choose any new day for you to start living your life. Whenever you are ready, declare what is in your soul and change the direction of your life.
To get started, the best counsel I can give you is to buy yourself a nice journal or notebook, a glue stick, a comfortable pen and, if it pleases your soul, some positive affirmation stickers. This is how you start your new year. And again, it does not have to be January 1st.
As you go about your daily life, take note of things that make you smile – whether it be a picture, a saying, something kind that you saw someone do, or something selfless that you did for someone else. Journal about it . Write about how it made you feel in that moment. Let these feelings come to the surface of your life and allow them to grow.
You will begin to notice, over time, that the more positive instances you write about, they more frequently similar experiences will come into your life. It does not happen overnight, so don’t sit there the next day and think, “Well, I wrote about seeing someone buy a homeless person a coffee and it made me feel good, but nothing good happened to me.” This process takes time. You are working on your inner being to simply be more accepting and positive as you walk your daily path.
If you want a new life, first give praise for having the old one! ~ Stephen Richards
This is not an easy concept for those who expect instant gratification, or someone with very little patience. However you will find that your thinking will start to shift, and then your energy will definitely start to shift, and life will start to bring more sunshine, and less darkness.
I have been following this path for several years myself. I do notice that when I stop my gratitude journaling, things start to go in a backwards direction. After a few days of getting back at it, things shift and go upward for me again.
Earlier I said, if you saw something that made you smile to make note of it. The other part of this is, when you see something inspiring in a magazine, or on the computer that you can print off, cut it out and glue it into your journal. Put life into your journal that is positive. Add pictures, quotes, and little things that make you smile. Then write about how they make you feel. By the way, journaling is a private matter; this is not to make others smile, it’s all about you.
When you look at that cartoon of a couple of penguin, with their necks intertwined, what do you feel? When you look at the word success, what does it make you feel? When you look at that photo of a pair if Adirondack chairs on a beach overlooking clear blue water, what does that make you feel? Remember, this is about you, and only you. You are creating your new reality, which everyone can do, and everyone can shift.
Today I begin a new life for I am the master of my abilities and today is going to be a great and beautiful day! ~ Tyrese Gibson
When I find a small coin on the ground, I pick it up. I give thanks to Universe for setting it there for me to find, and I give thanks. It doesn’t matter how small, it matters that you respect and acknowledge that you are grateful for the little things as well as the big things. And then I write about it. When this happens, it brings in more abundance. I don’t expect it, I just know it does.
So, take time today to get that journal, pen and glue stick. Open your eyes to see the best in the world around you, and allow yourself to feel the goodness the Universe has to offer. It is all a gift and our time on this planet is limited. Make the most of it and let me know how your life shifts after you start this process.
