Magic And Manifestation
Every human being has powerful magic inside of them, and part of my job is to teach people how to use that energy. I understand that ‘magic’ is somewhat of a loaded word. So, let me re-frame it for you. Jesus called if faith and told us that with a small amount of faith we can move mountains. Buddha called it thought manifestation and explained that our conscious thought produces our reality. How we focus our energy will eventually manifest in one way or another in our lives.
One thing that concerns some people with this kind of talk is the idea of darkness, or evil. Darkness does exist, but I believe that it exists only as a catalyst to increase our vibrational frequency, if we are ready to do so. My personal belief is that darkness cannot stick if there is nothing for it to stick to. This is why when discussing lower vibrational frequencies the best action is to increase our vibration.
There is really no war of light versus dark. We can turn on the lights and then if there is something that needs to be cleaned up, we can clean it up. The darkness does not struggle when the lights come on. It just goes away. For nearly all problematic circumstances our primary goal should be to change our consciousness and increase our vibrational frequency.
It is quite rare that we are we trained to use our magic in everyday life. There have been many people that have talked about it in the past, as I stated previously. It is great that Jesus had enough magic (faith) to walk on water and Buddha could exert his magic (consciousness) to tame a wild elephant. The fact of the matter is, most of us are not at the level of consciousness needed to change our environments by exerting the magic or faith that exists inside of us. Ideally, we will all someday reach this state on a global level. In fact that was the vision of both Jesus and the Buddha, and many other avatars before and since. But for now there are strategies that will help us to focus our personal power.
Magic is not a practice. It is a living, breathing web of energy that, with our permission, can encase our every action ~ Dorothy Morrison
The methods used to focusing our energy have many labels and are used throughout many traditions. Rarely are they ever labeled as ‘magic,’ but many sacraments, rituals, and techniques are meant to produce a change. They all have a common thread, they focus our energy to assist us in the manifestation process. Some of them are more specific and some of them very general.
I believe the best form of magic we can use for personal growth is positive affirmations. The most powerful affirmations are the ones that you will come up with yourself, but there are several good books and websites out there with many sample affirmations.
You want to make sure that your affirmations are always positive. Here are two examples of negative and positive affirmations:
Negative: I do not have debt.
Positive: I am abundant everywhere I turn.
Never ever doubt in magic. The purest honest thoughts come from children, ask any child if they believe in magic and they will tell you the truth ~ Scott Dixon
Negative: I do not vibrate at lower frequencies.
Positive: I vibrate with the vibrations of love.
The best affirmation to start with is, “I love you.” Say this affirmation while looking in the mirror. See what happens. You might have some negative feelings pop up initially, and you may even think that it is silly or ridiculous. The question I would like you to ask yourself if you have any negative reaction is: why? Why do you have negative feeling when you express love to yourself. The answer to that question will give you a world of information about your current mental and emotional state.
