Rediscover Your Natural Psychic Talent
Am I psychic? People ask this question all the time, and the answer is unequivocally, yes! As children, our psychic gifts are obvious to us in the forms of our vivid dreams and daydreams. We also experience strong intuitions about people and objects, and even our imaginary friends, who are really our spiritual guides. But what happens when we get older? Why do most of us lose this part of ourselves? It’s common to hear skeptical people say that psychic abilities do not exist. The truth is that we’re all born with a particular psychic gift, and sometimes more than one.
Think about the last time your instinct reacted strongly. Was it telling you the location of a lost object? A winning combination of lottery numbers? Perhaps the feeling that an old friend would call? These feelings are all forms of extra-sensory perception (ESP), and they are glimpses of what is to come from the universe. They’re also usually correct.

Re-opening this side of ourselves doesn’t have to be difficult. Whether you refer to it as ESP, clairvoyance, a sixth sense, or the third eye, it is the same thing: the ability we have to sense beyond what our body can tell us through sight, sound, and our other senses.
Keeping a psychic journal is the best way for those new to psychic practice. It will reveal patterns among the seeming random glimpses you’re getting. It will give you a sense of patterns emerging from numbers, colors, intuitions, and so forth, in order to interpret incoming messages.
Clairvoyant visions are usually small glimpses, like spiritual photographs. It takes practice and effort to properly translate what they mean to us. Don’t dismiss anything if it seems important; it probably is!
No two individuals have the same type of psychic talent, just as our fingerprints are different. If you’re having trouble finding yours, think back to when you were a child. Since children are more open and honest about themselves than adults, it’s easier and less stressful for them to experience their natural abilities. If you, or a parent, has them, look at pictures or stories you made when you were young. Chances are, a clue might appear there. Even our childhood imaginary friends were angels or other spiritual guides in disguise.
I think of intuition as a super sense that allows us to feel on a deeper level…Intuition is our sixth sense that lives inside us constantly, sending out signals so we can see the reality of the situation in front of us ~ Matthew Fraser
As we get older and more jaded, it’s easy for these metaphysical abilities to get placed on the back burner. The good news is, just like the ability to ride a bicycle, they never go away. Making psychic practice a part of your daily routine is the best way to start. Psychic muscle memory, like any other part, improves the more it is used.
We don’t grow out of being psychic. Nor do we have to worry about domineering figures such as parents or teachers. Learning to free ourselves from these preconceived ideas is a difficult step… but it’s the first one. If we’re able to release our mind’s full potential, there is literally nothing we cannot do.
