Your Eternal, Beautiful Soul
We are not just a physical body. We are spiritual beings and our soul is ageless and eternal. It never comes to an end. The soul is energy and merely takes on different forms. For energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed.
Your soul is currently manifested in a physical body, but you are not your body. Your soul is who you really are, the very core of your existence.
It is my belief that the soul chooses many new and different experiences as a physical manifestation, each time it decides to incarnate. Some of these physical experiences are very joyful and fulfilling, while other can be very challenging and evolutionary.
Many of us consider ourselves to be ‘old souls.’ An old soul is basically a person that seems to have deep wisdom, unusual insight, or profound compassion from their early childhood. As children they are often said to be ‘wise beyond their years.’
Old souls are often what others may call ‘the voice of reason.’ They tend to see all sides of a situation, or know just the right thing to say to help others with guidance, without dictating to them which path to take.
Most people are conscious of taking care of their body and mind, but not so much about taking the time to nurture their soul. To this day many scientists and medical experts still do not associate physical health and well-being with the mind-body-soul connection. Adding the soul to the wellness equation creates the best medicine possible, in my opinion.
You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body ~ C.S. Lewis
Not only what we think and feel has a great deal to do with physical health, but also what we believe. There is an old saying, when people are sad or down it ‘hurts right down to the soul.’ When the soul is nurtured with spiritual practices, such as prayer or meditation, the stress level in the body and mind is reduced, and balance and harmony is restored.
Questions about soulmate love and relationships is something I am often asked about when I do psychic work. “Am I ever going meet my soulmate,” my clients will ask. People are constantly looking for the energy in others that resonates with their own energy vibration. The soul is always seeking out similar, like-minded souls. This is why you may be at a social gathering, lock eyes across a crowded room with someone, and there is an instant energy connection or soul recognition. It feels like you have known each other for millennia.
In my experience, this is usually a past life connection, or you are in the same soul group. A soul group are spirit beings who have chosen to have a physical body incarnation at the same time. If you experience such a deep soul connection with someone, just know that you have found each other because your energy blends and recognizes each other.
This kind of connection can be found with a parent or grandparent, friend, teacher, mentor, life partner, pet, or even a person you have only known a short time. The person may only be in our life a short time, but the soul connection will always continue to be there.
My favorite spiritual word is the greeting ‘namaste,’ which means ‘my soul recognizes and honors your soul’ or ‘the divine in me bows to the divine in you.’
You are the Universe expressing itself as a human for a little while ~ Eckhart Tolle
Souls make agreements with each other before each incarnation. When my first granddaughter was born, she was a ‘preemie baby.’ She weighed a mere two pounds thirteen ounces. As tiny and weak as she was, she constantly smiled at me. Everyone said she was much too premature and small to be able to smile yet. “It’s just gas,” they said. But every time she turned her head and looked at me, and smiled, we telepathically said to each other, “I know you, I recognize you, and I love you. It is good to see you again!”
Trust me, it was not just wishful thinking, because I am her proud grandmother. It was a much deeper soul remembering of each other’s energy being together many lifetimes. This became evident as she started growing up. This same granddaughter, at a very young age, looked up at my daughter and said, “I chose you to be my mommy.”
It believe the two fundamental things we contract for, before we incarnate, is the time we will born, and the time our soul will leave the physical body. Some of these soul agreements can be very difficult to understand. Why would a soul choose to leave at a very young age, for example? Or why would a soul decide to depart due to a tragic, traumatic event, instead of a peaceful exit? The answer spirit always gives me in these cases is that we must experience all there is to experience, a full range of emotions, feelings, experiences, in many different lifetimes and incarnations, to finally come full circle.
Once we have completed an incarnation, and come to the end of a physical life journey, the soul leaves the body. The physical or mental ailments or disabilities we may have experienced during this time, will not follow us or be present in the soul state.
When I communicate with spirit, I am frequently reminded that judgment and self-righteousness are man-made. The spirit world does not sit in judgment. There is no status of moral superiority in the spirit realm. There is only our immortal, beautiful soul.
