Lou’s Inspirational Story
A friend of a friend always felt a calling to do animal rescue work, and this calling beckoned her to a Swiss-based rescue group called City Dogs in Romania. She saw a picture of a dog named Lou on their website, fell in love with him and arranged for him to be transported from Romania to Switzerland.
There was something special about Lou, and people who have had that special soul connection with a pet will understand this.
When Lou arrived the connection between them was immediate and all seemed fine with him. However, this is what happened after Lou arrived, in my friend’s own words:
“Lou was seven months old and started showing weird symptoms after being with us for a week. Symptoms included losing his balance and falling all over the place. The Neurologist, after many tests including an MRI scan, found that his spine had been attacked by bacteria which had gone as far as causing the neck vertebra to collapse! By then he couldn’t walk at all.*

We could have opted for a long and dangerous surgery, but were advised that even if he survived surgery he only had a 30% chance of not being paralyzed, and we would know this only after an excruciatingly painful recovery period. We decided we had to let him go!”
Letting Lou go home to Spirit was one of the hardest things my friend ever had to do. Afterwards her pain was intense and the question I as a psychic reader was asked was: “What was Lou’s purpose?”
It wasn’t hard to connect with Lou within about a week of him crossing over. Before I tried to make contact with him directly, an old friend and animal lover, who has comes through many times from Spirit since his passing in 2001, appeared to me one day and said; ‘Lou is with me’, and I believed him absolutely. He has always come through with undeniable evidence – things I would never have known until I checked it.
When I was able to communicate with Lou, I asked my friend’s questions on her behalf: “Why did Lou go through this suffering and why did I go through this heart-breaking ordeal?”
I was given a simple answer: “You have great work to do as a spokesperson for the animals in Romania, and you will be reaching many who are unaware with your networking. My job is done – I came to touch your soul to such an extent that you feel inspired to answer this calling you have.”
* I must make it clear that what happened to Lou was in no way the fault of the rescue organization or the website. It could have happened to any dog anywhere.
