The Time I Visited All My Pets In The Afterlife
Life has become much clearer to me over the years. But not in the usual way you might expect.
Having a Near Death Experience (NDE) during surgery at the age of 34, plus practicing as a professional psychic reader fo over 46 years, changes your outlook on life and death in many ways.
One of the questions my clients sometimes ask is, “Do pets go to Heaven?” From my lived experience, the answer is a resounding, yes!
During my NDE, I remember quickly rising up through a tunnel toward a light so bright I had to squint my eyes. I then arrived in a space that felt like the outside of an elevator. It was some kind of ‘in-between area.’
As I stepped inside, every pet I had ever loved in my life up to that moment was gathered around my feet, tails wagging, overjoyed to see me. Dogs and cats…they were all there!
So yes, in my experience, your pets will be there to greet you, just as mine were. On the other side, there are animals of all kinds, peacefully coexisting and filled with joy. I have no doubt our pets in Heaven know when we are coming home to join them. They wait for us with open hearts.
In Heaven, if you wish to have a home, you will. What you think becomes your reality there. So, of course, your beloved pets will once again live with you. They are already running, playing, and waiting for you and you will recognize each one of them.
When I crossed over, my great-grandmother came to greet me. She told me it wasn’t my time yet. She briefly showed me around, but told me I would need to return before my time ran out.

The colors in Heaven are beyond anything we see on Earth. Earth, by comparison, looks dull, even dirty. I love this big, beautiful planet…but I’m no longer afraid to cross over. I’ve already been there, beyond the veil, and it is breathtaking.
Grandma told me that if I returned, she would again be there waiting for me, because she already knows the exact moment in time I’m meant to arrive. She also said I would have three little grandchildren who would need me in the meantime. And now, years later, I do have those three grandchildren, just as she said.
And while that experience changed how I see the afterlife and spirit realm, it also deepened the way I perceive the presence of spirit around us here on Earth, especially through animals. The veil between this life and the next is thinner than most realize. Sometimes, the love of a pet can become the bridge between both worlds. I’ve come to understand that not only do animals have souls, but they continue to guide, protect, and communicate with us in surprising ways.
Two years ago, I adopted a rescue dog who had been abandoned in 109-degree temperatures. As I approached her, I clearly heard a male voice in my mind say, “Her name is Oreo.” I looked into her eyes and said, “Well, hello, Oreo!” She responded with a huge, toothy smile and a wildly wagging tail, as if she had known me forever.

She was about ten months old, according to my veterinarian. As a psychic, I was shown so much about Oreo and her former owner. He was a man who dearly loved her but passed away suddenly on his sofa. How do I know this? Because every time I try to nap on my own sofa, Oreo panics. She checks to make sure I’m still alive, gently poking me with her wet nose, deeply concerned.
If I can help guide you, especially when it comes to pets and the afterlife, just reach out. I would be honored to walk with you through this journey that is new to so many.
