The Ghost And The Chocolate Strawberries

I regularly meet with a group of wonderful women, who like me love to pray and meditate. We meet every other week, usually at the library.

We always meet in the same quiet room, which the library graciously allows us to use for our prayer and meditation meet up. We simply sit in a circle, share our prayer requests and lift up anyone we wish, even ourselves through the power of prayer.

It is a healing time, where we find ourselves sharing a snack, a joke, a healing remedy, an affirmation, or even a recipe. It is a time we all look forward to.

One day, while we were about to go our separate ways, one of the ladies approached me and asked if I could connect with a friend who passed quit unexpectedly. She was found dead in her apartment three days prior.

I was taking a few days off from doing any psychic readings, remote viewing or any mediumship work. But after seeing tears well up in her eyes, I immediately agreed to do this for her. I told her to email me and we could arrange a time the following day, and I would see what I could do!

We met in the apartment where her friend passed, around 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I walked in and she had a picture of her friend on the coffee table in the living room, which also featured a plate of chocolate covered strawberries! A nice gesture and very thoughtful of her to prepare some yummy treats for the two of us to enjoy.

She once again expressed how grateful and happy she was that I had agreed to do this. I assured her it was okay, and really no trouble at all. She then went to fetch us something to drink and told me to help myself to the strawberries. I thanked her and reached for one. Immediately, I felt what could only be described as someone slapping the back of my hand.

I remember clearly saying out loud, “What… the… what was that!” Feeling slightly unsettled, I sat back in the chair. Then the picture of her friend… and the frame it was resting in…moved forward at least two inches!

The lady walked in and saw me sitting back in the chair and said, “What did you say?” I told her what happened. She sat down and didn’t say anything, just wanted me to share what I was feeling and if I could connect. I told her that I felt her dearly departed friend was in the room with us and that I felt she was the one that smacked the strawberry of my hand.

I could also smell a very familiar, popular perfume and told her the brand name. Right away she knew it was her friend that smacked my hand as that was her favorite perfume! She told me her friend had asked her to buy those strawberries for her birthday, when she turned 37 next week. She told me that she promised her that she would. She must have not wanted me to have any, I replied.

I told her I felt she had died from a substance that she had taken and I was feeling that alcohol was involved. She felt that to be accurate information, but test results would still need confirm it. She did admit to me that her friend had been using pills to go to sleep, as she suffered from insomnia, and that she did like to drink alcohol.

I then shared many messages with her that afternoon from her friend, as I allowed her to come through me. A box-and-a-half of Kleenex later, and feeling much better, she hugged me. Tightly.  Before I left she thanked me. She felt there was now some closure and that she could feel like she knew what happened. She also felt that she now had a final farewell conversation with her best friend, who she wouldn’t see again until it was her turn to cross over.

She told me to see if I could have a strawberry before I left, so I went for it, and thankfully didn’t have to endure another slap to the hand!

We ended up meeting again, because her friend turned out to be a restless, earthbound spirit and not free to go to the light. I ultimately helped her to go where she needed to be – free and not confined to this material realm.
