Ghosts On The Coast Of Maine

Whenever I do a house party on the coast of Maine, the first question most of the guests ask me is, “Do you feel or see anyone around me?” Or, “Do you see or sense spirit in any of the rooms or around the house?”

Well, to be very honest I have never been in any home or dwelling that did not have any spirit in residence. They typically hang around a house because they used to live in it, or at some time in the past they were on that property for some reason.

When I am asked to check in, to see who may be in residence, spirit will speak to me in my head, or show themselves. They also like to move objects. Why? Because they can. Often, they will move a picture off center, especially a picture of themselves, just to let you know they are around.

On the coast of Maine there seem to be a lot of Native American spirits. In their lifetime they would migrate to the coast for the great resource of fish, clams, mussels, lobster. I feel them especially at one of the Maine state parks, called Moose Point Park.

As a child, my parents always went to that park to celebrate Mother’s Day with a lobster and steamed clam dinner. My dad was a chef. He always said May was the best month to eat lobster. They are full and start to shed their shell by June.

The first time I had communication with spirit I was about six years old and playing on the beach of the park. My sister and I were collecting rocks, shells, sand dollars and sea glass on the rocky beach. Two young boy spirits communicated with me. I mentally asked why they were there. The response was to let me know I was safe on the beach.

My sister did not see them or sense them at all. By that time, I had learned not everyone saw everything that I did, including family members. My grandmother was the only person I could really talk to about such things. I suspect my dad could also see what I did, but he never talked about it.

Every year the two boys would appear to me on the beach, even to this day. It has been my experience that spirit likes it when we appreciate the space they choose to inhabit.

One of my friends bought an old mansion on the coast of Maine. Celebrities like May West and her gang used to frequent this place. While doing a séance at her house, May West stopped by to say, “Well hello, I’m glad you all are having a grand time here! I’ve had many grand times here myself.” Then she just floated away, up the stairs. I was not the only one that could see her. The setting was just right. It was a dark and stormy night, with the wind howling and fog… just like in the movies.

I have had the privilege to meet many spirits in that house. They seem to like to show up in the bedroom upstairs, where I always sleep. If I look at the clock it is always around 3am when they wake me up.
