Who Is Your Soul Family?
When we hear the term ‘soulmate,’ we usually think of romance. But did you know you have an entire soul family here on Earth? Who are these people, and how do we find them?
Your soul family are those people you’ve probably known over many lifetimes, and whose auras and experiences are similar to your own. When you meet one, you may find yourself drawn to him or her, even if there are differences in background, age, or culture.
As with all good friends, a soul family member will instinctively understand and support you. When you meet for the first time, you might have a conversation that lasts for hours. And you’ll always be happy to see them, even on your worst days. It’s almost like being in love, but purely platonic…though you might wish you could marry the person, even when they’re not your preferred romantic gender.

Just as you’d accept the flaws of a lover or partner, you’ll find yourself embracing your soul family members – warts and all. After all, they will do the same for you.
The best friends we have are those with whom we can be honest. A soul family member will be there to listen to you, and probably will encourage you to unload your secrets, stresses, and traumas. They will, in turn, strengthen and encourage you to be the best person you can be.
Regardless of age, a soul family member will be wise beyond their years. They are generally old souls whom we’ve known over multiple lifetimes, and they have the knowledge to go along with it. Isn’t it great when you find someone who can be friend, confidante, sage, and mentor all in one?
Once you’ve met one of these folks, you’ll probably want to spend more time and get to know them better. The great thing is, even if you just saw them a day or two ago, talking to them will feel new, fresh, and invigorating every time. That includes email or phone conversations, or if you live halfway across the world from one another.
The most important thing to remember about our soul family is that second word: family. These people are related to us, if not by blood, then spiritually. And if blood is thicker than water, then spirit is thicker than blood. When we look at our soul family, we’ll start to see ourselves. Like all families there will be different strengths and weaknesses which define each person, but, when the family stands together, it becomes a more cohesive whole.

The more years that go by, the more family member you will start to discover, like doing genealogy on a much larger scale. They will each give us unique insights into our purpose and meaning, and we will do the same for them. Whenever we run into hard times, or feel hopeless, our soul family will be there behind us. After all, we would do the same for them!
