Do We Choose Our Parents Before Birth?

I am often asked if I believe in reincarnation and clients sometimes want to know about their past lives. I was not always sure until I had a very vivid dream one night. I often receive answers in this way.

In this dream I felt like I was floating and searching. It seemed like I was hitting many areas of the world. I was looking for someone. But for who, or what? How could this make any sense?

I even heard my name, Raymond, in this dream. I recognized my mom’s voice. I also heard someone talking to me as if to guide me, but the voice sounded like I was under water and I could not follow the language.

I believe this dream might have come from a soul memory from the time before my birth, before this lifetime. It is said that we choose our parents and this dream possibly confirmed this for me late in my life.

Is it possible that we choose our parents in order to accomplish our goals in each lifetime? Being born into a certain human family may just enable us to grow up to be that person we’re supposed to be in our community, to help others and make a difference in the world.

If you have recurring dreams that you have been in another life it may very well be a sign of a significant past life. These dreams do not always make sense. I remember having repeated dreams of me being at the river and seeing boats go by in Cincinnati, Ohio. I still do not understand this dream, but I know I will someday.
