Psychic Connections
Some days, as a psychic reader, I want to just curl up in a ball and hide from the world. These are the days when nobody sees me and I stay in bed watching Charmed all day long. Sometimes for days on end. It helps me believe in magic again and helps me to recharge my psychic batteries. Other days I am on top of the world and psychically ready to take on anything!
It comes down to filters, really, and how much the professional psychic takes in every day. When I was a young reader, just starting out, I took everything to heart. So many times I would go outside, after a particularly difficult reading, and just cry my eyes out. One such time, an older reader came up to me and said, “you have to learn to let this all go through you, or you won’t last very long in.” And she had been reading at that time for 25 years, whereas I was just starting out.
Today, I am in her psychic shoes. I am now the experienced reader and the one who has been reading for 25 years. Yet, I still have days when I go outside and cry after a psychic reading. I have, however, learned to filter things as my mentor had told me to do.
The great gift of human beings is that we have the power of empathy, we can all sense a mysterious connection to each other ~ Meryl Streep
There are little things I do that help me, such as keeping crystals on and around my work space, as well as mostly knowing in my mind, that I absolutely have to let certain things go. I don’t do myself or anyone else any favors by carrying someone else’s heartaches into the next person’s reading. And most certainly my clients know where my focus is and they deserve all of me – not just a piece of me that shows up, while my mind is elsewhere.
I find deep breathing to be very effective in keeping a clear and flowing psychic connection. I have a video about the importance of breathing on the Psychic Access website. Deep and focused breathing helps me get oxygen into my body and muscles, and releases muscle memory. The air that comes in is free from angst and trauma. It makes me feel brand new and ready to face the world and everything that comes with it.
We are, for better or worse, psychically connected to nearly everything around us. Try it sometime – deep breathing for as little as only five minutes will make a major difference!
