The Beautiful Season Of New Beginnings
Back in the Fall I posted a blog, titled Autumn Wishes, where I mentioned planting bulb, while wishing for a beautiful flower and praying for the fulfillment of a desire. At that time in October, it was my invitation for us to pause and notice the inexorable pull toward Winter Solstice. The days were growing incrementally shorter, ultimately culminating in the darkest day of the year.
But here we are now, and it is Spring again. Yes, it is the beautiful season of new beginnings, renewal and rebirth! Fresh buds are blooming, hibernating animals have been awakening and the earth seems to be coming to life again. Farmers and gardeners are now planting their future harvest, as temperatures slowly rise. Continue reading
Do Animals Reincarnate?
Do animals reincarnate? As an animal lover and pet owner, I believe they do!
John Edward, the well known psychic medium, once talked about how his dog had come to him in a dream after it passed. Apparently the dog told him he would be the new dog “with the black spot.” Soon after, John went to a friend’s house who had a litter of puppies. He really connected with one of the little dogs – it followed him around everywhere he went. However, none of the puppies had a black spot on them. John’s wife took pictures of him with the puppy, because she too felt the connection. Later they left, without taking any of the puppies. When the film was developed, there was a black mark on one of the photographs! The black stain appeared in the image over the puppy he had such a special connection with. John immediately went back and got his beloved ‘new’ dog. Continue reading
Life Is Sweeter With Kindred Souls
Some people simply add value to our lives. Kindred souls are true friends who make us feel that sharing space with them, or being around them, is right where we are meant to be. I call that comfortable, blissful feeling “being in Zen.”
Then of course we have all experienced sharing space with toxic people who make us feel like we need to leave immediately, because if we don’t take action we will soon start to feel depleted or drained. I like to describe that feeling as “going against the grain.” It very much feels like I’m doing something that doesn’t feel right, or that I am not where I’m supposed to be. Continue reading
