Your Self-Imposed Prison Of Thought
You reap what you sow. As a man thinketh, so he is. You are what you eat. Create a vision board, hold that thought and see your goal come to fruition. What we think is what we manifest.
These are probably some of the most common and regularly used phrases to redesign and renovate the thoughts and movements of our lives. They work for some people, when placed in the scope of their reality. But why work only for some and not for others?
The answer I received from spirit was odd, to say the least: “One thousand times in his head he is in a big, famous prison.” This is what was related to me in my sleep state and Spirit must have felt it was of some importance, because they chose to wake me from a sound sleep in order to hear the message clearly… and resoundingly.
My first thought was: what on earth is this? What could it possibly mean? Then, as I delved into it further, I could discovered the true meaning.
The only famous prison I am personally aware of is Alcatraz. Just saying that name sends shudders to many people who have actually visited the place.
Next I thought of a human being found guilty of a crime and then have the most severe punishment handed out, of being sent to that dreadful place. I can only imagine what that must be like: locked up for an indeterminate amount of time, no freedom, and only periodically getting out for a breather. Imagine the rest of the inmates, the fearing for your safety and the struggle to survive.
Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve ~ Mary Kay Ash
The average person who serves an extended prison sentence will justifiably have their spirit broken. Prisoners tend to become what has been instilled in them from that rigidness they could not escape from.
But how does a stringent and cruel prison term relate to our spirituality? If we acknowledge that we are a creator of our own thoughts, and our thoughts absolutely determine the course of our lives, it becomes highly applicable. For thought patterns can become a self-imposed prison. Perhaps my Sources were trying to present a glimmer of how the vast majority of us think and feel, and show us the injustice of our self-imposed prison?
I was having a conversation recently with one of my nephews, who is a truly generous and caring fellow. He shares a nice home with his parents and grown son. He has mentioned repeatedly that if he won the lottery then he could pay off their mortgage and then they could all have more freedom and a better lifestyle.
This is a prime example of how most of us think. We have created our personal prison where our daily thought process has not gravitated to success. Instead it has become just the opposite, not ever believing that the best is out there only for us to grab hold of.
I tried to explain the difference to this smart young man, however, his prison was so secure it didn’t appear as if he would ever get out… not even on parole. This is his own self-imposed prison.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, I have met and known other souls who have created an entirely different environment from their particular thought process.
Personally, I have seen and accepted the harm I have done to myself and my offspring due to the ‘thought prison’ I had developed over the years, and I am now endeavoring to recreate. My husband and I have made a pact that although we are more advanced in life than some, we will sincerely attempt every avenue available to us to change our thoughts from a low vibration to a much higher one.
You begin to fly when you let go of self-limiting beliefs and allow your mind and aspirations to rise to greater heights ~ Brian Tracy
We might at first only achieve going from a austere federal prison, to a less stringent provincial one, eventually graduate to a municipal jail, and ultimately secure our full release. This is the goal.
The day we start to see and feel our own lives change for the better, with only the thoughts we are generating from the power of our own minds, is the day we finally understand that we are the drivers of our thought vehicle. We can certainly change directions or the route we are on at any given time.
Look at yourself closely, be completely honest and ask yourself which kind of prison did you create for your yourself, and how will you redesign your life so you can be entirely free and clear, instead of out on parole for good behavior. Just good behavior alone will not change your outcome, but new thought messages to self certainly will.
