My Psychic Family

Click photo for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAre psychic gifts passed on in certain families? In my family it would certainly appear so.

My maternal grandmother was married at the tender age of 14, had her first child at the age of 16, and just carried on from there. Her life was not a particular happy one. My grandfather worked a steady job with good pay, however he was a alcoholic, as well as a womanizer so money was not always prevalent in the home.

Although she was christened Flora Mae, she was always called ‘Mumma’ by everyone who knew her, because she was a mother figure to many beside her own family. As we grew to know and appreciate Mumma, we had a sense there was something unusual about her.

In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future ~ Alex Haley

We came to think of her as a human X-ray machine. There was no denying that Mumma could accurately define a person’s character immediately upon meeting them. At once she would declare whether a person was to be trusted or not. She might also make it known that a particular male was not to be allowed near your children, or even if someone should be allowed into your home. Mumma also knew if someone was intent on trying to extort money from you and would even predict with uncanny accuracy which person would somehow come to be incarcerated.

Everyone who trusted what Mumma would say about an individual’s character and accepted what they were told, learned later that they had saved themselves a lot of heartache.

My own mother, Greta, was a lot like Mumma. She also knew with absolute certainly a person’s traits, quirks and particular behavior with complete accuracy upon meeting them for the first time. There were times I wanted not to accept her diagnosis of some of the friends in my own life, but fortunately for me, I always trusted that she was right, even when I had to wait and have it proven to me.

My mother went even further than her mum. She was a renowned tea leaf reader. People would come from miles away to have their tea leaves read by her. I was always so completely fascinated by  how she got all the information she did simply by looking into a cup of leftover tea.

My mother also had prophetic dreams and set great store by them. Especially pertinent were the ones where she dreamed of a particular person’s death that would come to pass as she was shown. She greatly understood signs and omens, and was proficient at interpreting them for herself and others.

While my father, Alfred, was not as pronounced in his gifts, he would frequently speak of a deceased person who had come for a visit the previous night and relate verbatim what the spirit had to say. All these events became commonplace in our lives and so we grew up accepting all these gifts as real and normal.

Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one ~ Jane Howard

My sister, Doll, although she was not raised in our family unit, knew with complete clarity where and how we were at all times. She would sense any distress we were currently experiencing, even with us living thousands of mile away from her home.

My sister, Marie, also a tea leaf reader like our mother, was the most vocal where her gifts were concerned. She had a built in ‘radar’ that could spot a pedophile a mile away and was not shy in exposing that individual to all that would listen. When any of her siblings was in peril of any kind, she was the first to tune into it and helped keep us safe many times during our childhood years.

My sisters, Nancy and Pauline, as well as my brother Roger, are proficient palm readers as well as clairvoyants. My brother Butch is also a gifted clairvoyant.

We did not learn to label ourselves as gifted or psychic, but we did all just accept that we ‘knew things’ that might be beyond the norm. We spoke of it openly and candidly and it simply became another part of our lives.

I have been reading Tarot cards for a very long time and it is one of my greatest joys to be able to give others information that will enable them to enhance their own lives. I also very much cherish and appreciate that I have an ongoing communication with an alien source named Gar.

My daughter, Kathy, who has passed on in recent years, was also a remarkable Tarot reader and had a skill in communicating with animals that I have not seen any surpass to this day.

Her daughter, and my granddaughter, Samantha , will always make it known when a spirit from the other side has visited, and she is talented reading Tarot cards as well. She, more than anyone else in our family, also has Mumma’s ‘X-ray gift.’ She has not been wrong yet.

Family gifts are interesting and pleasurable despite what we may see or encounter. I would encourage you to look into your own family history and see what might be available to you.
