Astrology Forecast December 25 – 31, 2023
Happy holidays! As the year comes to a close and a new one unfolds, I wish you a season of joy, peace, and personal growth. May the eternal wisdom of the stars and planets guide you, and may the spirit of the season fill your heart with hope and wonder.
We close out the year with some significant astrological shifts this week. Today is blessed with a Gemini Moon, which promotes social interaction, lots of communication, and a sense of fun and good times. An ideal lunar energy for holiday gatherings and celebrations!
A Venus in Scorpio trine to Neptune in Pisces with its loving energy could not be more perfectly timed. The kindness you show others during this transit will be returned to you as a karmic reward. It’s a wonderful time to spend with friends and family.
Tomorrow the moon will be full in Cancer, focusing our attention on home, family and security. This may be a good day to pause and consider a new budget for 2024, or at least take a look at spending over the past few months to get an idea of where you stand. The Moon continues to move through Cancer on Wednesday and Thursday, so you may feel like taking advantage of a lull in activity to regroup and reset.
Venus moves into Sagittarius on Friday and will spend the next few weeks inspiring us on a heart level. Self-love, engaging in activities that nurture our souls, and expressing our innermost thoughts and feelings will be a theme through mid-January.
Jupiter goes direct on Saturday, and though we may not feel the effects of this shift for another week or two, it will help us shed the old energies of this year and seek new avenues of growth and achievement in the months ahead.
A Virgo Moon on New Year’s Eve will inspire us to scale back our resolutions for 2024 and set more realistic intentions for the future. This is not a time to give up, but rather a time to embrace new beginnings and nurture your personal growth.
Beware also of the influence of Mercury retrograde, which tends to be more intense in its final days. It might make New Year’s Eve a bit confusing or frustrating, making us feel stuck in a time warp. Expect the unexpected and just go with the flow. Things are not as crazy as they seem!
On Sunday, the New Year begins with the Capricorn Sun trine the Taurus Moon. This aspect is known for feelings of happiness, harmony, well-being and enjoyable interactions with family, friends and romantic partners. If you are single, it is also an ideal time to go out on a date.
The best news, however, is that Mercury will resume direct motion on Sunday at 22 degrees Sagittarius. This promises a very positive start to the New Year.
