Make It Possible In 2018!
I love the New Year, because the potential for a fresh start always awaits us at this time. It offers the excitement of new beginnings, second chances, or simply the anticipation as to what a new year might bring.
My guides have taught me that we can create a new beginning for ourselves at any time, by mastering the art of visualization. History is full of stories about people who have failed, and failed, and then finally succeeded. Did visualizing help them? I am convinced it must have.
In short, it all begins in our heads, by being open to the possibility of something, and defining a way forward that works for us as individuals. What better time for such a renewed mindset than the New Year?
Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible ~ Cherie Carter-Scott
A person’s perspective determines what they believe will be possible for them, or not. Furthermore, a person’s history can have a significant effect on this.
Let’s consider, for example, the story of two sisters who were raised by an egotistical, highly reactive, unloving mother, who put herself first on every occasion. In short, she was not a good parent at all.
Judy grew up just like her mother, because she watched, observed and learned her behavior. Susie, on the other hand, turned out the exact opposite, because she hated what she experienced with her mother so very much, that she decided to become the exact opposite. Both girls had the same mother and the same history with her, but they turned out to be two very different people.
The moral of this particular story is that while one girl felt she was destined to be just like her mother, the other recognized another possibility for herself, and she realized that her history did not determine her future! In short, it was her choice of what was possible for her, and what was not, which mattered – not anything that was supposedly ‘pre-determined.’
Spirit teaches that once we open ourselves up to possibility, things actually start to become more possible. Furthermore, we begin to view the world and how we play a part in it somewhat differently, and we no longer hold the belief that where we are now will be where we remain forever. We then start to become excited at the fact that there are many new paths open to us, and that we can even design our own!
Why is it that some individuals see potential in an almost impossible set of circumstances, while others do not? The answer is because their intuition told them they were right, and they chose to listen.
Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously and never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop this picture! ~ Dr. Norman Vincent Peale
Thomas Edison saw the possibility of creating a light bulb, but failed thousands of times before becoming successful in this endeavor. Truly, if he had ever stopped believing it was possible, he would never have been successful at the end of the day.
Walt Disney was once fired from the newspaper he was working at, because he was deemed as not being creative enough, yet he still pressed on to fulfill his dreams, as he did not listen to those critics.
Businessman and professional basketball player, Michael Jordan was said to be too short for the game of basketball, but decided to prove his coaches wrong – which he did!
The list of such people goes on and on. Why not take a leaf out of their book? If someone ever tells you that what you are planning is impossible, but you know deep within yourself that you can do it, then just smile, thank them for their input, reject the thought, and get on with doing what you believe you can do.
Okay, some people may be of the opinion that this ‘blind belief’ approach may be somewhat foolhardy. After all, not every one of our ideas is going to be successful. But, to simplify matters, if your mind, heart and soul say yes… go for it – irrespective of your history, or what anyone else has to say about it.
Just by looking around us we can see inspiring examples of people just like you and me, who have been ultra-successful in improving their businesses, jobs, health, relationships and so on. Yes, it all started with embracing the possibility that they could. Therefore, should you find that your faith is a little lacking at the moment, then look to those who inspire you and give you hope. After all, what would life be without hope?
Nevertheless, I would also suggest that you consider the following strategy where actualizing your desires are concerned.
Firstly, open yourself up to the possibility of having that what you want, despite the fact that your current circumstances may not suggest it, or that others think it is not possible. If necessary, look to people who have achieved the ‘impossible’ for inspiration.
All successful men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose ~ Brian Tracy
Take strategic and positive action to bring about the desired end-result, because like what spirit teach actions really do equal results. Simply put, if you do not put anything into action your possibility will remain just that.
A few times per week visualize in your mind’s eye, preferably before you go to sleep at night, how you have turned your possibility into a reality. And always aim to see yourself having reached your goal in the present tense. The reason for this is, no matter how possible something may be, visualizing it into the future pushes it further away from yourself.
Finally, expect everything and wait for nothing. Why so? When we wait for our possibility to become a reality we may question whether it will, or not. That is very negative. However, expecting your possibility to actualize helps very much with the manifestation process.
