Less Is More Equals Less Anxiety
I was meditating the other day, and really needed to too! The whole first half of the day I had frantically been running around. There were so many things I felt “I had to do”. But after meditating I realized that many of the things I was so obsessed with get done, was really pointless. The frenzied day I embarked on just resulted in less money in my pocket, and additional stress when I ran into someone I really was trying to avoid. That ended up giving me a tension headache.
I could have been doing something else, something more constructive, like sitting in my comfy couch meditating and enjoying the wonderful serene rainstorm. That storm was really awesome; I really enjoy them.
If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things, then this is the best season of your life ~ Wu-Men
So, after asking spirit for insight on how the day could have been more meaningful and purposeful, I heard my guide say ever so slowly and calmly: “Less is more equals less anxiety.”
Anxiety is the only thing I really endured going out that morning. It was not necessary. So many people feel they need to go and do. Most of the things seem like they matter and must be done, but that is an illusion. It is false information appearing real. We have to re-think things as they come into our minds.
I believe many of the things we pursue each day do not really matter in the bigger scheme of life. In the end, the only thing that really matters is love and peace and harmony. How much love we have given to others by our words, thoughts and deeds?
Living in the moment is really what it’s all about. Enjoy the company of your loved ones, reading a good book, taking a nap, listening to good music, instead of filling our minds with lots of asinine entertainment that gets us all riled up and over-stimulated.
I have closed the door on TV and cable for many years now, and I do not listen to the news. It is just delicious. I am so glad that these days I can find information about the happenings in our area in a way that is less traumatic or disturbing. I go online and check out my preferred sources from time to time, but for the most part I try and fill my head with positive things instead of fear mongering propaganda. It helps the anxiety to stay away that creeps in at times.
The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak ~ Hans Hofmann
I’m not saying give up on life and never do the things that need to be done, but really think and meditate on what you truly need to do throughout your day. Cross off the things that really are just engrained by media hype or peer pressure. Just ask yourself: do you really have to do this or that? Would that make you happier? I guarantee you will find your life simplified will also become less stressed, and much more peaceful. You will thank yourself.
I love meditating, it always keeps my thinking straight and leads me on the path of truth and light. It also helps prepare our soul for the next life, and our souls rebirth into the spiritual realm. When we are clear-thinking I feel it does something to our souls. We are sharp, more intuitive and can direct our lives in a way that is clear and well-intentioned. We are then not so easily mislead or confused, but know what needs to be said and done, because our mind is quick and sharp, and not filled with chaos and things that don’t really matter.
Less is more equals less anxiety. Period. Enjoy your day doing what you love, and I guarantee if you start living that way you will notice a huge difference.
