Don’t Add Drama To The Chaos In Your Life!

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comI had a very stressful situation recently, too personal to be written about here, but I can assure you my Italian temper blew up completely due to my frustration. I had to humble myself to people I did not feel comfortable with, and had to set my ego aside entirely.

I felt I had to hit or break something. I took a good box of empty jars and shattered every one of them against a rock outside. The explosive sound of the breaking glass was a source of relief. It is not something I am really proud of doing, but I am only human, and sometimes our more base instincts rise to the surface in this way. I am normally a highly sensitive, compassionate, and spiritual person, but I was not setting much of an example in this case. I had clearly lost it this time.

Choices made, whether bad or good, follow you forever and affect everyone in their path one way or another ~ J.E.B. Spredemann

After several good hours of crying and fuming, I eventually realized I had to do something constructive in order to get back on track and stay focused on my daily routine. My children, clients and friends needed me to show up for them. My strategy? I finally decided to just knead up some good herbal bread. Working a piece of dough, using my hands to cause it to rise up and form a beautiful, delicious loaf, can clear away the deepest stresses and angers for me.

I also like to wash windows. Having every inch become sparkling clean as you work your way from window to window, can be a very healing, balancing activity. Our lives are also like this. We can take our “junked up,” stressful, chaotic lives and start cleaning it up one little corner at a time, until we have a whole, peaceful, contented and stable life once again.

Many times a sorted, stable lifestyle can scare or frustrate us. Some people become bored. We miss the drama… so we create some more. Then on our clean, clear life window, we are using a black marker.

For every action, there is a reaction; there is a consequence.  The reactions of others to our actions and our decisions also cause consequences, so that by the time we have started the process, we have a domino effect of our original action. The more we draw in chaos, confusion, and drama, in fact, the more people we draw into the mix, and the more chaotic, and deeper the hole we dig.

Remember the story of the Tower of Babble in Hebrew history? Many tribes came together to build a tower to reach the gods, until the Higher Power changed all the languages so there was much confusion, and the work finally just had to stop. The more people we draw into our issues, our lives – each one with an opinion, an advice, prejudices of their own – the deeper our confusion, and the whole situation drives into the ditch.

You can’t blame anyone else, … no one but yourself. You have to make your own choices and live every agonizing day with the consequences of those choices ~ Max Brooks

We must stop, reflect before we take action! When we think first, before we act, reflecting on if the action we are about to take is one that will bring about positive energies, we set the path up for success. This is difficult sometimes, because emotions take over, but still in the end, we know that we must take more care of the formula of action, reaction, consequences. Sadness, crisis comes into all our lives regardless of how hard we try to protect ourselves .

Sometimes it is okay doing something a bit crazy, like what I did breaking a box of glass jars. But now I need to buy a new set for my homemade tomato sauce this summer! In the end it is best to stop, think and breath, and do something constructive, not destructive, in order to find balance again.

When chaos comes, look it in the face, then decide how to clear it. Ask spirit to show you the answers. Perhaps somewhere you missed a clue, or had a lesson to learn, but out of the ashes after the fire, like the phoenix bird who rises up to beauty, happiness, harmony and joy will return sooner if we remain calm and focused.
