Connecting To Your Internal GPS
This past year has been the best! It is amazing to see what happens when we live with eyes and heart wide open. We experience more synchronicity, calmness, joy, and peace. We go from go, go, go, and do, do, do, to being fully present.
We too often choose to ignore the little voice inside that tells us things like, “Don’t go out, stay in!” or “Don’t do that, do this instead.” That inner voice is what most people call your intuition or inner guidance. I think of it as God within.
When we are clear-headed and keep from chaos and drama, and set healthy boundaries with others, we actually can hear that voice much more clearly.
Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first — not through intellectual understanding ~ Christiane Northrup
We sometimes get in a rut and feel like we are going against the grain when we ignore, or simply no longer can hear our intuitive voice telling us what is right and wrong. When we ignore that inner voice, we become stressed out, more prone to worry, anxiety, fear, tension and anxiousness. We are simply not in ‘zen.’ We are not allowing ourselves the joy and happiness that comes with being and feeling centered.
When we get off the inner-guided path of balance and contentment, we experiences stress, rocky roads, and we are no longer able to connect with positive energies. At this point we are allowing dis-ease to enter our lives. When a person lives in this toxic environment too long, they eventually create for themselves health challenges and disease.
It is so very important to make time for things like meditation and prayer, getting restful sleep, and savoring an embracing, sweet stillness. Sometimes it is as simple as maybe a walk in the woods, or an Epsom salts bath to help balance the bodies energy and clear out any negative energies that you may have picked up while out and about.
When we don’t listen to our inner voice, it is much like a GPS system we use, while navigating to get to geographic location. When we don’t listen it’s like we end up somewhere else, in the wrong place, that maybe isn’t good for us. So, we must always keep our batteries charged up and clear, so we can be directed on a higher frequency to avoid harmful situations, people or environments.
I trust so much in the power of the heart and the soul; I know that the answer to what we need to do next is in our own hearts. All we have to do is listen ~ Melody Beattie
It’s vitally important to listen to your internal GPS, because when we don’t… hard lessons often follow. Most of the time the lesson is usually that we could have avoided this or that by simply hearing our internal voice speaking to us, telling us what to do.
Our inner guidance system never forsakes us, but always directs us down the right path. When we pay attention to our internal GPS, we start creating much more meaningful memories. Things just fall into place when we don’t try so hard. When we go, go, go, and do, do, do, we miss the big picture and we don’t recognize what matters. Watch how your life can change by simply hearing what your voice is telling you.
