Making The Most Of This Life, In This World!
I remember watching with fascination Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Paltrow. In this film she finds herself in two parallel worlds with two very different realities that result from her choices and decisions.
Seeing this film prompted me to explore the fascinating subject of parallel worlds. According to physics, the existence of parallel worlds or a multiverse is a genuine possibility.
A parallel world is believed to be another world that exists alongside this one, yet it is undetectable to and independent of this world. It has also been suggested that another version of you could exist in one of these alternate realities, while there may other parallel worlds where you do not exist at all.
Could it be that each choice or decision we make in this world creates a very different reality in another world? For example, in another world, instead of going to your high school prom back in 1980, where you fell in love with Frank and later married him; you didn’t go to the prom that night, Frank never existed, and you ended up never getting married.
There are various schools of thought that this Universe is not singular – but one of many. One theory is that the Universe in which we live is infinite. However, matter can only rearrange itself up to a finite point and then it has to start repeating itself, thus creating Universe after Universe.
Another viewpoint is that there are multiple universes that all contain a planet Earth and more doppelgänger replicas of you! Furthermore, in these other worlds, you have to make different decisions – just like Gwyneth Paltrow has to decide in Sliding Doors if she is going to get on the train, or not, leading to different outcomes in each parallel life.
Some physicists theorize that the Big Bang, which may have given rise to the birth of the Universe, was not a one-off event. It may have prompted other Big Bangs giving birth to other Universes.
We never change the world we’re on. We change ourselves and we we actually shift to another version of Earth that already exists that is more reflective of the change we made in us. This gets into things like parallel realities, the multiverse – all of that kind of idea ~ Darryl Anka
A relatively new theory about parallel spheres of existence is known as Many Interactive Worlds (MIW). MIW hypothesizes that parallel worlds exist and interact with our world at a quantum level, making them detectable. Digging even a little deeper into this fascinating theory, it also puts forward the idea that every conceivable, yet alternate past and future, are genuine, each one representing a definite yet corresponding mirror universe.
Furthermore, it is perfectly feasible that in these different worlds, we make different decisions than we do in this one, and therefore create different realities. However, it is not known whether these other worlds are infinite or not, but it is believed there may be many of them.
It is enough to make one’s mind spin. However, if you feel that you are not as successful in this world as you might like to be, or do not have all the things you would like in life, it can be heartening to think that there is another version of you out there who has all that, and more!
There are also reports of people coming from, or experiencing a parallel universe. One such story is about the man from Taured. A gentleman showed up at Tokyo Airport bearing a passport and driving license from Taured, a place that does not exist in this world!
The mysterious man was then asked to stay in a hotel overnight, with two security guards positioned outside his room, while he was being investigated by the authorities. The room overlooked a bustling street and was 15 stories high. Nevertheless, the next day, he had vanished and was never seen again.
Other tales feature ‘green-skinned children’ in Suffolk, and a mysterious cabin in Markawasi Stone Forest, which is also believed to lead to another dimension. Not to mention the gentleman who thought that he was teleported to another world while driving his car.
We smugly refuse to admit that parallel universes or dimensions can exist next to ours, just beyond our grasp…Some scientists sneer at the mention of higher dimensions because they cannot be conveniently measured in the laboratory ~ Michio Kaku
There is also a tale about a lady who woke up one morning to find some subtle differences in her life, but as her day progressed, the more significant these differences became. For one, she discovered that she worked for the same company, but not in her usual department, and also for a boss whom she has never met before. Furthermore, her ex was no longer her ex, but her boyfriend, and her relatively new boyfriend no longer existed in this new reality. It was as if her whole world had been turned upside down!
Whether you believe these stories, and the possible existence of parallel worlds, is up to you. But one thing is guaranteed: there is only one reality we will all experience, and that is our current reality. This reality right here, the one you are living right now. Therefore, it is the here and now that we need to make the most of!
The moral of the parallel world theory is that we need to make the right choices, right here, right now. You can do so by developing your spiritual awareness, tapping into your intuition and letting your higher self and the spirit realm guide you along the best paths for you in this life and in this world. By doing so, you will get the very most out of this life journey.
So, follow your dreams and passions, go for that dream job, build that new friendship, start that business, invest in that romantic relationship. And yes, while it may seem a little scary to do so, this world will often say yes to you! So, what are you waiting for? Just go for it!
