The Ghost Who Warned Me

I moved into my first haunted house in 2005. I have communicated with beings from the other side since I was a child, but actually moving into a home where there was a spirit attachment, was a very different experience for me. I have also been in haunted houses before, but this time I was not able to just browse and leave – I was stuck in that house for a few months.

I was moving in with a family member, whom I knew had a lot of emotional issues, but who was also very sweet and wanting guidance and help from me. He was very attached to the house we were looking at renting. I told him right off the bat, “It’s haunted. Are you sure you want to move into a haunted house?” He asked me how I knew it was haunted, even though he knows I am psychic medium. I told him I could sense the presence. It wasn’t dark. It was male and it was associated directly with the house.

Despite all this, we moved in.

The night we moved in, I felt a presence hovering over me when I was sleeping… or should I say trying to sleep. The ghost said telepathically, “You brought darkness into my house. You need to get rid of it, or leave. I will help you get rid of it.” I was quite confused. I responded, “I am a light being. I’ve never caused harm to anyone. Why do you think I brought darkness here?” I did not get an answer.

After many strange occurrences in the house, like things being moved and weird sounds, I worked up the nerve to ask the daughter of the owner of the house if anyone had died in the family that was connected to the house. I described the entity’s appearance and personality, and told her he seems to move around the house, but resides primarily downstairs, where my family member was living. She immediately confirmed, “Yes, that’s my brother!” She told me he had died a few years before, was very attached to the house and his bedroom growing up was downstairs, in the same bedroom my family member was living in.

Why are people afraid of ghosts? ‘Ooh, no, I wouldn’t want to see one! I’d be too scared’ – accompanied by a tremolo of fear in the voice – is the common reaction. This puzzles me. I’d think anyone would welcome he opportunity. I’ve never heard of a ghost hurting anybody ~ Dick Cavett

My family member began showing signs of anger, distress and had gotten back on drugs. He turned on me, I believe after being angry at himself for messing up his life and ruining the opportunity to learn from me, heal, help others and receive my love and help. As his energy became increasingly dark, the ghost became more adamant that we leave. The water would turn scalding hot when showering, and things started breaking down in the house.

I mentioned all of this to the sister, who said she had believed her brother was messing with her toilet which started to make strange sounds the day he died. She said since we had moved into the house, she had not felt his presence and there had been nothing happening with toilet.

My family member finally moved out and I was able to buy a house and leave as well. It took a while to see, but I now know why the ghost was so upset and offended by our presence. I had personalized his message about darkness coming into his house. I did bring darkness into the house. He wasn’t talking about me, he was taking about and warning me about my family member.
