Life After Life (Part 6 of 7) – Love
When it comes to near-death and shared-death experiences, they may have different qualities to them for different people. It is clear that the experiences we have in this life do influence the experience we have when we transition into the next.
I believe that the reason for these differing experiences is to make our transition into the next life as gentle and meaningful as possible. Spirit orchestrates the passing experience in such a way that it is as unique as the person that is transitioning.
There are some cultural and ancestral qualities that are fairly consistent in the individuals experiencing the transition. For example, if you have a specific religious icon that is meaningful to you, it is very likely that will be a part of your transition experience.

The one thing that appears to be nearly absolute in consistency in all forms of death experience, is the message of love. In my own personal experiences the only way I can put into words the feelings that I had is that love was tangible. The sounds were loving, the physical interactions were loving, and even every breath was like breathing in love.
Many who have had such experiences have a profound shift in their lives. What was once important to them is no longer significant, and their focus is now on building loving relationships instead. Many quit or change their careers and the dynamics of their relationships as a result of this connection to Divine Love.
It is my conviction that love is our Source. There is a verse in the Bible that says, “God is Love.” In my world Love and God are synonyms. Every act of kindness is a manifestation of Divine intention. Each loving action is a manifestation of God in the flesh. At the heart of nearly all spiritual and religious tradition we come to a place where the core message is love and compassion. We came from love, we are evolving into love, and we are returning to love.
Many of my recent channeled messages have echoed this sentiment of love. We are living in a time in human history where things seem to be polarizing. The opposite of love is fear, but as A Course in Miracles says, “The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite.” The human race is in many ways going through an evolutionary process, and the next step in this process is unconditional love.
Consider how an animal species evolves. The species faces a unique challenge and it must face and overcome that unique challenge for the survival of the species. When it does, there is a fundamental change in the DNA of that species. Similarly, for thousands of years the human race has been culminating to a greater and greater evolutionary shift, which is the shift into love.
When we make the choice to fill our heart space with unconditional love, our worlds blossom into a beauty far greater than we have known ~ Rio Godfrey
This is why on a planetary level we are experiencing many of the things we are seeing today. All wars are a result of fear in some shape or form. Greed is also another manifestation of fear, and this fear is polluting our planet. However, this is not a bleak picture, because as these manifestations of fear increase we are able to conceive of something greater. Like animal species that must evolve or become extinct, the human race is being given a profound option to align with love. This is nothing to be frightened of, because perfect love actually casts out fear.
Perfect love is what is available to each and every one of us. It is as Jesus pointed out, “The kingdom of heaven is inside of you.” This is a profound statement, and an even more profound reality. This means that the love that has been experienced by those who have had near-death or shared-death experiences is actually something that is a part of our spiritual DNA. It is available to each of us at all times.
A Course in Miracles, states that fear itself is an illusion. It is a call for love, and it is only by this love that we will evolve into love. My encouragement to you is to seek love in your life. Start by loving yourself and identify ways that you have not been loving yourself.
One of the best ways I have found to do this is to use a technique developed by Louise Hay. Start by looking in the mirror when you first get up and say to yourself, “I love you.” Watch your response, and if this makes you uncomfortable ask yourself why. You may want to work through the whys with another individual, either a counselor or a good friend who truly loves you for you. Begin to take care of yourself more and more, and then you will have the power to take care of others. This is how we will begin the revolution of love.
You have nothing to fear related to the afterlife, and in truth you have nothing to fear in this life. All fear is a call to love, so begin to ask yourself what it is you truly want, and you can start aligning yourself with Heaven right now.
