Sourcing Prosperity
One of my teachers used to say, on multiple occasions, that we are on this planet to bless, prosper, and honor each other. There is value in honoring those around us. A Course In Miracles says that every interaction that we have is quite literally an opportunity for relationship, and this is very true. I have worked with several clients that say that they are starved for love, however, after channeling for their situation, it is very common to find that what they seem starved for they are often withholding from others.
Channeling for many years, I have received one consistent spiritual message relating to the human experience: desperation can never lead to any kind of fulfillment. When we are desperate for something, whether it is a relationship, more money, more free time, and so on, we will often miss opportunities if we are desperately looking for something we assume isn’t there.
A rich life is lived from a giving heart not a selfish mind ~ Rasheed Ogunlaru
This is especially true with love because love is an inside game. It is not something that we get from someone else, but something that we give as we walk through this journey of life. It comes back to us organically when we give it away. But when we withhold ourselves from others, or express ourselves through complaining or desperation, how can love ever come in? No one has ever said to their friends, “Oh my, I met this amazing desperate person the other day.” It just doesn’t happen.
The only way to bring in the best, is to express the best, which means recognizing that we oversee our own love, joy, and peace. It comes from within and it comes through expressing it to others.
We often focus a lot of attention on what we can get. We think that our own security is tied up in our ability to ‘have.’ In reality, our ability to truly receive and feel secure is often contingent on trust, rather than on what we can accumulate. Our sense of serenity is also influenced by acknowledging the gifts we each have to offer, and stepping out to use our gifts to serve others on the planet.
I have always liked the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi.
Lord make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
And where there is sadness, joy
O divine master grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it’s in dying that we are born to eternal life
Amen
As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way ~ Mary Anne Radmacher
If we focus the majority of our energy and attention on what we want, for example, more money, a new car, a new house, a new partner, we are automatically focusing on lack. However, focusing on what we have to give is automatically a prosperity thought, because we can only give out of our abundance. Even if this is a small offering, such as a kind word to a stranger, it is still in alignment with the ever-present good in our lives.
I believe that this is why Jesus said, “It is better to give than to receive.” As we give, we align ourselves with the ever-present good and we are naturally in the flow of abundance.
What we believe about life, becomes true for us. What we give out in this world comes back to us multiplied. So, today I am focusing on love and service. Anyone willing to join me?
All is well and I love you.
