Most people acknowledge the fact that the Moon and Sun direct the oceans, but they ignore links between the planets and human behavior and well-being.
Here is a list of just ten fascinating ways in which the planets affect us:
1. Surgery at the time of a Full Moon carries a much greater risk of severe bleeding
2. More babies are conceived under a waxing Moon
3. Sun spots interfere with communication equipment
4. Tree sap rises under a waxing or full Moon Read the rest of this entry »
If you are in a relationship or hope to create one, here are some important ingredients for a wonderful romance:
1. Fire signs combine really well with other fire signs. Fire also combines well with air. It does not mix well with earth or water.
2. Air signs combine really well with other air signs. Air also combines well with fire. It does not mix well with earth or water.
3. Earth signs combine really well with other earth signs. Earth also combines well with water. It does not mix well with fire or air. Read the rest of this entry »
I have been working hard to create a blog post for this month and I have had the hardest time trying to decide what to write. Writing is usually very natural for me and flows very easily. But now, each time I’d start a topic, I’d go off in a few different directions, with no connection to any of the stories. And then it hit me! Aha! We are in the midst of Mercury in retrograde!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Mercury retrograde, it can wreak quite a bit of havoc on our communication, as well as our electronic devices, our cars malfunctioning, our paychecks not getting direct deposited in time, missing important meetings, travel plans getting disrupted… or even writing a blog. So, back up your computer and your cell phone contacts. Mercury can sometimes take us on a bumpy ride when things go a little haywire. Read the rest of this entry »
The Snake Year comes sixth in the cycle of the zodiac and reoccurs every 12th year. This means that you are a Snake if you were born in 1941, 1953, 1965, 1989 or 2001. Ancient Chinese wisdom states that if you have a snake in your house your family will never go hungry, because a snake is said to be sage, wise and a good protector of his or her family’s belongings and home.
The Chinese Zodiac is a lunar-based calendar and the Chinese New Year is sometimes referred to as The Lunar New Year. The cycle flows as follows: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Hare, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar. Read the rest of this entry »
Generalized information can be very misleading, and as horoscopes posted in the newspapers can sometimes turn people away from readings, because generic information can be so inaccurate as to appear useless. Generic psychic prophecies or numerological predictions can be compared to reading information about how men or women behave in general – we may find some good basic information on men and women, but it would not accurately describe each of us a individuals.
I have spent much of my life studying spirituality and metaphysics. In recent years, I have invested most of my free time engaged in Hermetic studies. The word ‘Hermetic’ dates back to the legend of the Egyptian god Thoth, the Greek god Hermes and the syncretic combination of the two known as Hermes Trismegistus, the purported author of the Hermetic Corpus . Thoth was an expert in arts and sciences ranging from philosophy to astrology.
The more I learn, the more I receive confirmation that we are part of something much greater than our individuality. If you have worked or studied with me, you will know about my belief that everything in life is synchronistically orchestrated. Read the rest of this entry »
I have noticed during some of my psychic readings, no matter what information I give, it seems not enough. I have seen this problem arise often when we are in a Mercury Retrograde. It greatly affects some of my clients.
Mercury Retrograde happens three times a year. During this three week time period, the planet Mercury turns into a retrograde. When a planet is in retrograde, it is going opposite of its normal rotation. During this time, it can make an individual feel as if they are on a stand still.
For 2012, the first retrograde occurred from March-April; the second one July-August; the third is set to occur in November. This month, the strong energy of Leo activates the winds of change and creates situations that branch out into many new directions. This last retrograde in November will be an opportune time to set goals and achieve them during this process in which Scorpio is active. Read the rest of this entry »
I recently gave a lecture entitled “The Prophecies and Astrology for 2012.” In preparing for this lecture, I studied many prophecies for this phenomenal year and beyond, including those of the Mayan, Cherokee and Egyptian. Also, with the help of several astrologer friends I studied the astrological chart for December 21, 2012.
I was surprised at the findings of this research. The astrological chart for December 21,2012 is not so catastrophic as we might think. Instead, it is a chart showing a T-square (conflicts), but this one is between Neptune or Chiron (our spiritual source or Healer), Venus (our connection to Earth and our Heart) and Jupiter (wisdom acquired through the expansion of the heart). This T-Square is also aspected by Pluto (transformation) and Uranus (chaos). Read the rest of this entry »
