The Quantum – Moving From ‘Being’ To ‘Creating’

Quantum physics deals with the behavior of matter and energy on a minuscule scale – the scale of atoms and subatomic particles. Atoms are tiny force fields described as waves and research has shown that atoms can spread out to be in more than one place at one time.

In the quantum world, common sense is violated and has no place. On the quantum level atoms become fuzzy and erratic.  Particles appear and disappear at random. Nothing is certain.  In other words, atoms are like people – they are hard to predict with absolute certainty.

We are basically light and information – patterns of energy.  At the quantum level there are infinite amounts of energy in a very, very small amount of time. The energy cannot be observed, so you don’t know what it is. It’s a place where miracles happen and all the possibilities come together. For example, if the atom were the size of a marble, and an electron the width of a hair, they would be two miles apart.

The word subatomic means smaller than an atom or capable of existing with an atom. Electrons are small particles “living” inside the atom. Electrons leave atoms all the time. They do so easily when atoms are grouped together, such as in a solid object like a copper wire. Without electrons flowing easily through copper wire, there would be no electricity. Electrons obey quantum physical laws.

Quantum physics as a field of study also offers strange ideas and interesting theories:

Zero Point Field – We are one with our universe, we are inextricably connected together in a mysterious energy called the Zero Point Energy Field. The field is a sea of possibilities and you are free to use your imagination and pick the one you like.

Uncertainty Principle – Electrons are seen as clouds. Whenever an electron is observed it does not exhibit any cloud form, but appears as a particle, a spot with no apparent spread in space, and the atom no longer has a defined energy. The uncertainty principle is at the root of all matter and is the cornerstone of quantum physics. It may manifest for human beings as doubt and insecurity. The message is to get comfortable with the uncertainty of your reality and that you’re the creator.

Quantum Jumps – With the firing of a cannonball you can see the object, pinpoint its trajectory, and predict where it will hit.  Not so in the subatomic quantum world.

The Observer Effect – Subatomic particles are disturbed by the attempt to see them.
