Why You Should Keep A Dream Journal – Part Three
There are different types of dreams one can encounter on any given night. From my own experience and study over the past 30 years, and just learning all I can about dreams, I have found the most exciting type of dream are the prophetic ones. I also love lucid dreaming and the wandering dreams.
Prophetic Dreams
These dreams are so great! It’s your own psychic pathway for getting prophetic messages about your life – be it love life, career, or health. Anything you want to know you can know through your dreams. You can just ask your higher self to bring to you in this healing dream time any messages you need to know, whatever it may be. These messages may even be brought by a loved one. It may let you see the future or how a certain event will take place, or basically whatever you want to know.
The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to a knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind ~ Sigmund Freud
Make sure however to record these dreams, as they have helped many people. To keep a dream journal I feel is almost essential and something everyone should do every morning. Record those dreams, especially if you asked before falling asleep for a certain message or person to come though!
My prophetic dreams help me to see certain clients the night before I read for them the next day. They are wonderful dreams – I feel sometimes I have met the client before I got to do a reading for them and was able to mesh my soul with theirs, and feel how they are feeling.
Lucid Dreams
I get thoroughly inspired by my lucid dreams. Have you ever had this experience? Maybe you dreamed you were flying and you went to a distant time and place, either here on Earth or another world far off in space?
These dreams are magical. You can be the producer, director and writer of these dreams. They are the types of dreams that inspire story writers, producers of movies and people in the entertainment business. Lucid dreams are wonderful, because in them you can experience life I magical ways
Desire Dreams
Have you ever had a dream where you were with a certain celebrity? Or something that you just know you can’t accomplish in this life, but you got to do in your dreams? These are the types of dreams where you can experience certain things, have encounters on all levels. Why do we have them? We apparently need to experience this for soul growth and soul evolution. We can’t only be in the weighted down material realm all the time. They are fun dreams, but sometimes they can be more intense then real time experiences. So, go on and try it. Think of your favorite Hollywood star and ask for your energies to mesh in your astral travels. Think about it enough or ask yourself to go there, and you probably will.
I slept and dreamt that life was Joy.I woke and saw that life was Service.I acted, and behold, Service was Joy ~ Rabindranath Tagore
Precognitive Dreams
These are the ones where you will get the heads up on something. Maybe you will see your abdomen and your guide or ancestor will be there, or a voice will come in, telling you to go to your doctor, as there is an issue going on in that region in the body.
Maybe you will see a church and your mate, and the next morning he or she pops that “will you marry me” question. Or you may see yourself like I did, drinking rose tea! I found out after having this dream that people really do drink a herbal rose tea and it is good for you. That is actually how I got into herbal home-made teas. It was from that precognitive dream I had. It’s like my own form of health insurance, my teas.
Re-occurring Dreams
These are the types of dreams where I go in and have to pay attention to symbols, any signs, or clues. Basically it’s like I have to become a ‘private investigator’ and figure out why they keep re-occurring, as there is a hidden message in these types of dreams. There is something we are supposed to know and figure out. It could be a loved one who passed who is giving us the heads up on something in a subtle way.
There are many reasons why our subconscious mind keeps giving these symbolic dreams to us, but nevertheless they will keep re-occurring until we figure out the reason why we keep having them. There is knowledge and information to be gained from these types of dreams. Again, write them down each time – there will be new information, signs and symbols to pay close attention to.
In a nutshell, there are different types of dreams we can have. We have integration dreams, venting dreams, all sorts – too many to list, but I shared the most popular ones above, the ones we tend to have the most. If you are having strange dreams, I would be more than happy to decipher and interpret them for you. Contact me with your dream questions, I love sharing with you what they mean.
