Choosing Your Own Tarot Deck

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comPurchasing your own Tarot deck may seem overwhelming for the newcomer, but can actually be a very magical experience. Back in the ‘dark ages,’ when I decided to purchase my first Tarot deck, I remember getting a plethora of recommendations from others to buy certain decks. I was overloaded with opinions, none of which I listened to in the end.

I’ve always been a bit of a rebel, so I chose a deck that I felt most drawn to. I remember the day well, I visited a little metaphysical shop in Michigan and was immediately drawn to the back of the store, where there were some revolving racks with Tarot decks on display. I felt almost mesmerized by one deck.  It’s theme was angelic, and although the images, design, and roman numerals were not really suited for a beginner, it didn’t matter to me, I bought the deck anyway.

When I got it home, I took it into my herbal room, laid it out on some black silk, to anoint it with consecration oils of rosemary, basil, star anise, frankincense, myrrh, and patchouli. I held a pendulum over the cards to program it with my intentions, and to activate it.

After that, I fanned the cards out on my herbal table and slowly waved my palm over the deck, sending my energies into it to align and connect with it as my sacred tool. Lastly, I asked Spirit to oversee the deck by placing it into the right hands once they left mine. Continue reading

Empower Your Tarot Readings With The Three V’s

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThere are many ways to bring more power to your Tarot readings, whether you are just learning to read the cards or have been utilizing them as a divination tool for years. One way is to apply the three ‘V’s’ to expand your reading skills, namely variety, validation and vision.

Variety

Seasoned and professional Tarot readers often own a number of Tarot decks, but usually gravitate towards one or two of their favorites most of the time. Employing a variety of decks will keep your readings fresh, and can also expand your predictions.

The images of the Tarot vary from deck to deck, which will offer you additional information to consider. Because you will be viewing the cards from a fresh perspective, you’ll be able to ‘see’ more. Continue reading

The Powerful Wisdom Of The Major Arcana

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThere are 78 cards in a traditional Tarot deck. The first 22 are called the Major Arcana. The word ‘arcana’ comes from a Latin word arcanum, which means ‘ancient secrets’ or ‘mysteries.’

The 22 Major Arcana cards, starting with The Fool and leading all the way to The World, are all archetypes that represent hidden knowledge that many centuries ago were privy to those who worked closely with spirit.

When we consult a Tarot deck, the Major Arcana cards take us on a journey into another world, accessing ancient truths and divine law.  In psychic Tarot readings the Major Arcana cards can describe attributes of people and their character traits, but most often represent the spiritual lessons we go through in life. The Potent Power Of The Tarot

Click here to get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comOne of my favorite tools to work with for divination and self-exploration is the Tarot. The Tarot is my closest friend, and always by my side during readings.

You know how sometimes in life you get a feeling about something, but you aren’t quite able to put it into words?  Well, that’s how the Tarot assists me when I read for people. It helps me bridge the everyday life with the esoteric, and translate psychic messages in a practical way.

Sometimes it is as simple as the actual picture on the card having a single element that pops up for me, screaming to be noticed. Continue reading

Color Reading As An Ice-Breaker

Click photo for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comIn private sittings, I always commence with a short color reading. I ask customers to select four from my collection of 13 small, colored bottles. The placement of the client’s selection in position one, two, three and four each represents a different aspect of their pathway and challenges in life.

Whether the rest of the reading involves the Tarot, throwing the bones, angel cards, or numerology, the synergistic connection with the colors, and the remainder of the reading, is always uncanny. Not to mention that it gives a very ‘colorful’ start to a reading session.

I have a regular client who is a wonderful and highly respected healer. I have always felt that she channels during her healing sessions, as many of the clients she has sent my way praise her for the words of healing and wisdom they received during sessions with her. I feel that she uses subtle ways to incorporate her psychic ability into her work, without ‘spooking’ her clients. There are also a select few with whom she feels, intuitively, that she is able to discuss deeper spiritual, and even past life issues. Continue reading

Language Of The Tarot

Click picture to get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWhen reading Tarot, it is always important to consider each card in the context of the spread. Each card has differing meanings, based on the context of the whole.

For example, the Three of Swords represents heartache, sadness, loss, grief. However, let’s say it comes up along with the Chariot, which represents moving forward with success. Together, the context of these two cards might shift to something like moving beyond sadness. However, this meaning might shift even further, based on the rest of the cards in the spread.

Reading single cards only, would be like trying to convey a message with just one word. Instead one should think of a Tarot spread as representing a full sentence, while each card represents a word in that sentence. Continue reading

When Tarot Cards Are ‘Wrong’

Click picture for a free reading right now at PsychicAccess.comAs a Tarot reader through many seasons, I have seen for myself where interpretation, listening to instinct and understanding the true meaning behind the cards makes for a better and more rounded reading. But perhaps the Tarot in and of itself will want to play tricks on you. This too I have seen many times!

People tend to misunderstand the Tarot, its meaning, and more importantly, its true purpose. It was never intended as a fortune telling tool per se. It can only be through careful study and a willingness to open one’s mind and heart, that reading the Tarot can be truly successfully mastered. Yes, even to the point of predicting time frames – something clients love, of course, but which can be very tricky to predict. Reading the cards correctly and imparting correct advise is crucial when it comes to time prediction. Continue reading
