Your Self-Imposed Prison Of Thought

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comYou reap what you sow. As a man thinketh, so he is. You are what you eat. Create a vision board, hold that thought and see your goal come to fruition. What we think is what we manifest.

These are probably some of the most common and regularly used phrases to redesign and renovate the thoughts and movements of our lives. They work for some people, when placed in the scope of their reality. But why work only for some and not for others?

The answer I received from spirit was odd, to say the least: “One thousand times in his head he is in a big, famous prison.” This is what was related to me in my sleep state and Spirit must have felt it was of some importance, because they chose to wake me from a sound sleep in order to hear the message clearly… and resoundingly.

My first thought was: what on earth is this? What could it possibly mean? Then, as I delved into it further, I could discovered the true meaning.

The only famous prison I am personally aware of is Alcatraz. Just saying that name sends shudders to many people who have actually visited the place.

Next I thought of a human being found guilty of a crime and then have the most severe punishment handed out, of being sent to that dreadful place. I can only imagine what that must be like: locked up for an indeterminate amount of time, no freedom, and only periodically getting out for a breather. Imagine the rest of the inmates, the fearing for your safety and the struggle to survive. Continue reading

Be Judgmental

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comIn this age of being politically correct, some might actually stop reading after seeing the title of this blog post. Please don’t. People these days might accept the terms discernment, or judgment call, but never judgment! But there is no problem with having a judgment. The issue is what you choose to do with that judgment (or judgment call, or discernment). What matters is how you respond to your inner voice judging what is happening. It matters a great deal.

If you have been raised to put others before yourself, you have been taught to not protect yourself, but rather to put the needs, wants and desires of others first. The false belief is that this is done in order to protect yourself, to survive. If you have not questioned your past, or worked on learning about, or healing, your childhood (which happened on purpose as part of your incarnation, and therefore is a key element of exploration for you to advance in soul evolution) you will not even know that putting others first is your default setting. It will simply be ‘normal’ for you, while you continue to wonder why certain patterns of you getting ‘slammed,’ or getting taken advantage of, keep happening.

You cannot heal what you do not know. Children of alcoholics, or addicts, or narcissists, or childhood trauma (war, earthquakes, divorce, death, poverty) often learn that they have to suppress who they are, what they want or need, even what they think, in order to become what someone else wanted them to be, in order to survive, in order to live. The Fallacy Of Being Perfect

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comPeople who go around trying to be perfect, or aim to “live up to their maximum potential” seldom seem to be happy. Neither do they appear to be living fulfilling lives. Their constant striving to achieve or maintain perfectionism seems to take the joy out of their lives.

Spirit inspired this chain of thought in me as I remembered three psychic readings that I did recently. The theme of perfectionism and potential had a profound effect on all three of my clients’ lives and or their loved ones. With their permission I am briefly sharing their stories here.

The first client called me upset, because she felt she had ruined their holiday stressing about wanting to make everything  perfect. Not only did she take the fun out of it for herself, but for everyone else involved.

I connected with Spirit and received this message for her: “Doing special things like making Easter eggs and cooking Thanksgiving dinner should be enjoyable. Some people will like it, and some people won’t. Next week no one will remember. Learn to enjoy these activities more, and just go with ebb and flow. Spirit then  also offer tools she can use to help her relax. Continue reading

The Will To Change Your Future

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comThere are times in all our lives when we feel confused or uncertain about the future. We wonder if we are on the right path? We follow our hearts, yet nothing seems to cooperate with our wishes? We feel a range of emotions that make us feel as though we are getting nowhere. Nothing bad is happening, but nothing related to our exalted dreams are either. We wonder to ourselves if this is it? Is this truly all there is?

These stagnant, quiet periods, when nothing significant seems to be happening, can be viewed in different ways. I see them as opportunities for many things we normally don’t have time to do, when our lives are busier. We can rest, travel, get organized, finish projects, work on health and beauty, learn a new skill, practice our spirituality, or catch up on our finances. We can also go over past events in our minds, learn from them, put them behind us, and dream of what we really want to do in the future.

These are all seemingly unimportant details that are in fact very important preparations for that which will inevitably happen next, when we put our minds on what we really want that is good for us as individuals.

A few weeks ago, I did a phone psychic reading for a client who asked me what was going to happen in her future. She did not have a more specific question, and she had only paid for a few minutes. So, I focused intently on her question, concentrating on her future, but not limiting my quest to a specific time frame. Continue reading

You Are Amazing

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comYou are powerless when you worry about pleasing other people, but when you focus on being an amazing person and creating an amazing life then you become powerful. As you gain a foothold on who you truly are and how you wish to present yourself to the world other people begin to recognize and respect you in new ways. Focus on the amazing person that you are.

Oftentimes we see you get caught up in other people’s business, wondering and worrying what they are thinking and what they are saying. As you focus on those external things outside of yourself it steals your energy and renders you powerless. It makes you weak in your thinking and insecure in your being. There is very little value in focusing on obsessing over their influence.

Remember, everything is always unfolding perfectly. Let go of trying to control other people and other things outside your power of influence. Move into yourself where you have full and complete control over what you are thinking, what you are feeling, and what you are saying. Because at the end of the day, as you look at yourself in the mirror the only person you need to answer to is yourself en God.

Rise up into the magnificence that you are creating a beautiful purposeful life. As you align with the best version of yourself people will either begin to step into your life, or they will step out. Continue reading

Ritual In A Modern World

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comRitual is one of the oldest forms of spiritual expression, and it has roots in pretty much all religions and spiritual practices. The energy created when we take the time to focus our intent, while using symbols and tokens that have meaning for us personally, can be transformational! Whether you practice ritual in a group or on your own, it can supercharge your manifestations and aid in any healing processes you may be going through.

When most people think of ‘ritual’ they often think of darkened smoky rooms, with people in long robes, chanting in strange languages perhaps, all seemingly choreographed with everyone knowing their roles. I’m sure there are some who practice in this way, and truly many of those elements have their place in ritual – incense, chanting, and so on. But I would suggest that ritual can also be something less rigid which we can craft to fit into our modern lives.

In my own practice, I began by creating a little ‘altar’ for myself. It is a small space where I arranged a few candles, some incense, crystals, feathers and some other tokens that have meaning to me. I added a picture of my mother, and a statue of an angel given to me when my grandpa passed away. I created a small space that had deep meaning for me and brought me into a mindset of love.

Now, I didn’t have a lot of room for this! So when I say a small space, this could be anything from the corner of a dresser, to a whole tabletop. As my practice has evolved I now find that any spare surface becomes a home for little treasures that I find in my adventures. Once you start creating these rituals in your life, the Universe will often send you little gifts to help you along. Continue reading

Inventory And Choices

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comPeople often ask me how to make more progress on their spiritual path. Unfortunately the answer is always the same: time, practice, dedication and money. Money? Yes, even in the days of tribalism, the Shaman was always paid. Communities supported the shaman, to enable her to serve the tribe while keeping her own spiritual practice current and vital. So, yes, the currency of support these days is not food or shelter, but it is money.

As a professor at an art college, I used to observe that the students who were true artists often practiced their art in every spare moment. The students that only wanted a career in art did all they could do just to get by with their classes and training, so they could launch their ‘career’ and get what they wanted and desired, such as money, fame, status or lifestyle.

One is not better than the other, by the way. But this is about looking at what choices you truly make, not what you imagine. Take an inventory of where you spend your time, energy and money, and then look at it carefully, and learn. Own your choices so you don’t convince yourself or others that you are a victim.

By owning your choices, you will have the benefit of not manipulating others (consciously or unconsciously) by presenting as a victim that must be taken care of, and therefore cannot be held accountable. Not presenting as a victim means you will learn to ask for help and support in an honest and mature fashion, rather than singing a sob story to get help and support.
