Talking To The Animals
I am often contacted for psychic readings about animals: missing cats, dogs present and past, sick horses and, even that brutal question as to whether it would be kinder to end an ailing animal’s suffering. Today, just such a request came in from a long-standing client, asking me to communicate with her little doggie, Patches.
She needed to know if Patches wanted to continue, or whether he preferred to be released from his physical discomfort and allowed to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. She knew he wasn’t feeling well, and yet, the veterinarians have been unable to diagnose his problem. It’s one of the most heart-wrenching requests I have been faced with in some time.
I sat quietly and envisioned Patches in my mind’s eye. He kept showing me the number 12. Before going further, I contacted Patches’ owner, and asked her the meaning of the 12. He is twelve years old, my client responded. Although the ultimate decision will be my client’s, I felt this was a subliminal message from Patches – his planned life span was to be here for 12 years. Cats Are Great Spiritual Teachers
When I think of the word love I think of my two cats. I have two cats and love them dearly. Most of the people I know also own cats, but we all seem to agree that we don’t really own our cats… our cats own us. We also agree that our lives are better, sweeter and more peaceful with our sweet precious cats. I feel a home isn’t truly a home unless there is a cat that dwells in it.
Cats are highly intuitive and very sensitive. They sense energy and can pick up on static electricity, ultrasonic sounds and changes in vibration. Do Animals Reincarnate?
Do animals reincarnate? As an animal lover and pet owner, I believe they do!
John Edward, the well known psychic medium, once talked about how his dog had come to him in a dream after it passed. Apparently the dog told him he would be the new dog “with the black spot.” Soon after, John went to a friend’s house who had a litter of puppies. He really connected with one of the little dogs – it followed him around everywhere he went. However, none of the puppies had a black spot on them. John’s wife took pictures of him with the puppy, because she too felt the connection. Later they left, without taking any of the puppies. When the film was developed, there was a black mark on one of the photographs! The black stain appeared in the image over the puppy he had such a special connection with. How To Use The Psychomanteum
There are many ways to obtain the same result in spirit communication, as many roads will take you to the same destination. Using the psychomanteum is one way to reach out to the spirit world. It is a device to help a person communicate with the other side, including departed loved ones, pets and spirit guides. The prophet Nostradamus used a similar reflective device to experience out-of-body travels into the future as indicated in Dr. Raymond Moody’s book.
Typically, the psychomanteum is an enclosed structure or chamber made of black cloth or wood, with a chair on one side facing a mirror on the other side. Some people also use a red darkroom light. A person sits in the chair gazing into the mirror, while relaxing enough to achieve a light trance state. In this altered state of consciousness it is easier for one to see visions reflected in the mirror. Continue reading
Grief As A Spiritual Life Lesson
Just under a decade ago, a decision I made to let my eight and a half year old Rottweiler Sophie go, was one of the hardest things I have ever been faced with. Sophie had suddenly become ill over the course of four days and nothing could have prepared me for the subsequent grief. Although time heals, I still recall the way it felt when she was gone – like my heart was being ripped from my chest.
Grief can be described as the universal response to loss, and a very natural, yet terribly painful internal process. When there is a significant change, or loss in one’s life, grief is both a physical and emotional response to that change. Grief brings its own stresses, and continued grief actually compromises our immune system, because all cells in our bodies are affected by intense emotions. Continue reading
Guilt As A Spiritual Life Lesson
A recent traumatic incident with my cat had me really thinking about how each upsetting experience in life really helps me to identify all the more with my psychic reading clients. People often consult professional psychics when they are going through an intense emotion, just like the one I have personally experienced recently as one of my spiritual life lessons.
The unfortunate incident with my cat occurred just a couple of weeks ago. After nine years of sticking to a routine of treating first dogs, and then cats, with an anti-tick solution, I did the unthinkable, and treated my young cat Prince first. Without thinking, I applied to his skin a larger vial than usual, suitable for a medium weight dog. Within minutes Prince was angry and in discomfort, and then I realized what I’d done! Fulfilling Your Soul’s Calling
A very close friend often said to me, “You are so lucky doing the work you love. I just do what I do as a means to an end, but I certainly don’t share the passion that you have for your work.”
Although I always knew working with spirit, in order to help people find direction, was what I desired to do on a full-time basis, I wasn’t always in a position to do so. Not to mention, to be able to do the work I love from home, surrounded by my menagerie of dogs and cats. I am so grateful to be able to now fulfill my life purpose.
It also dawned on me today that doing what I love to do has also enabled me to focus on my other passion, which is promoting and networking for animal rescue. Although, I am not yet in a place where I can physically go out and put in the physical work aiding rescue animals, I am able to spend time networking online on behalf of rescue centers internationally. I contribute by promoting these projects on social media whenever possible, and by donating to animal organizations I feel are legitimate. Continue reading
