The Dream That Saved My Life
In my senior year in high school I started to have a dream about me being in the hospital. The dream was so disturbing. It always woke me up out of dead sleep. I told my sister about it and she said don’t worry, it was just a dream.
As a high school student I was seriously into sports. I was running every day, doing exercises and riding my bicycle all over the place. My big goal was to go on a bike tour with other people who were also serious bike riders, going from Columbus to Portsmouth, Ohio. The trip was 125 miles one way and then you had to ride it back too. This is something I had never done before, so I had to push my body in overdrive to reach the highest level of fitness possible. Continue reading
We All Have Precognitive Dreams
Many people would tell you they’ve had a precognitive dream at some point in their lives. In short, this means a dream that has shown a part of the future. Literature, myth and history are full of such dreams, from antiquity to the sinking of the Titanic. But how much truth is there to the idea of dreaming the future?
Researchers propose that over half of the population regularly has precognitive dreams. The problem is, we also forget the vast majority of dreams within a minute or two of waking. It is an ability that has to be practiced and refined just like any other.
Anyone who is serious about dreams will keep a journal. It’s best to keep the journal right next to the bed in order to record the dreams as soon as possible. After time, a journal will help you start to see patterns, images and recurring symbols within your dreams. Think of how a large jigsaw puzzle at first seems random. Then, as more pieces are put into place, a larger picture starts to emerge. Continue reading
A Black Bird Visits My In-Laws
A black bird is believed to be a good omen by some, while others see it as a sign of misfortune. My experience with a black bird sign proved to be both.
I was over at my in-laws’ house one day when we noticed this black bird trying to get into the room. I thought the bird might be injured the way it was acting. It kept hitting the window hard, trying to fly inside. I felt this must be some sort of omen, but decided not to share this notion with my in-laws.
At that moment I got a call on my phone from my ex-wife. Our son had fallen off his scooter and broke his arm. After the call, the black bird was still doing his thing, but eventually gave up and flew away. I thought then that this must be the news the black bird was bringing. Continue reading
The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Of Fear
Recently, people have been posing their last question in a reading as: “Is there anything I need to beware, or frightened about in the coming year?”
Sometimes a psychic or spiritual advisor can bring a client additional anguish in their lives by encouraging them to focus on a fearful occurrence which could happen, rather than encouraging the person to be vigilant at particular times or steps they can take to go in a more positive direction.
I recently witnessed a typical example of additional fear being created for a customer when a lady who came to me with her daughter for a private mediumship sitting. The girl’s father committed suicide two weeks before. Although we did manage to get some closure for them from the reading, as well as actual messages from the deceased, they were both still very anxious, because of what their priest had communicated to them almost immediately after the deceased took his life.
