What if you were able to go to all of your perceived enemies, and realize they had all given you a gift through their enmity? One of my skills as a psychic is being able to ‘play the tape’ through a bad situation you may be enduring, and translate that out into something that is a great blessing in your life.
I will share an example from my own life. In sixth grade, I was playing with a friend in a park. She had a huge golf flag pole which she was recklessly swinging around. All of a sudden, she swung it at me and hit me on the right side of the head. I fell down from the blow, and had a splitting headache for days afterwards.
It was a traumatic experience. Unfortunately, since I was growing up in a troubled family, I was not able to confide in my parents. They were already divorced at that time. Read the rest of this entry »
Traditionally a total eclipse was seen as a source of dark energy or a bad omen, because the Sun’s energy is blocked and the Earth goes dark for a while. However, I believe this is a misconception in regards to the actual energetic and spiritual attributes of a solar eclipse.
When a solar eclipse takes place, it heightens the energy towards the Earth and all humans, but especially towards those on a spiritual journey. This is a good time to meditate, reflect and successfully perform personal spiritual rituals or practices. And yes, because the energy pull shifts, it means that you will feel the difference if you allow yourself to.
However, there are positive and negative energetic aspects to a solar eclipse, if you are not careful. If you are in a state of peace, you will experience enhanced peace at this time. If you are in a state of unrest, you will have an enhanced state of unrest. It is imperative to be in a good space and be mindful of your thoughts, words and actions during this eclipse. Accepting divorce as a reality is an important step in the healing process. One must mourn the loss of what could have been, but you don’t want to get stuck in the past, because it won’t change anything.
Acceptance is the most difficult step that one must take in releasing the past and begin a new chapter of life. Acceptance involves things like blame, resentment, and regret. We have the option to let go of negative emotions, which will give us the freedom to move forward.
So, now you are divorced, do you choose to stay bitter and hurt? No, you work through it and regain your strength, so that you can find yourself again. I know this is easier said than done, but nothing in this life is accomplished without some effort. You have one life to live, and you get to decide how you want to live it. I used to work at a beauty salon and spa, where the energy amongst the staff was highly toxic. We were a group of women who ideally could have come together in harmony and make others feel amazing, but that wasn’t the reality.
Initially, I was friendly and open, because I wanted to get along with my co-workers. They all smiled at first and made me feel welcome, but in time they began to show their true colors, which turned out to be less friendly and welcoming.
Eventually it no longer was a place where I wanted to be every day, but the money was great, especially during the holiday and bridal season. So, I had to make it work for the time being.
Every day, I was feeling out of place and exhausted by the time I got home from work, so I decided to do something about it. Read the rest of this entry »
During the time of my ukuthwasa (period of initiation to become a traditional healer or sangoma) some decades ago in Southern Africa, my mentor and some other village elders would join our group of ithwasa (sangoma trainees) by the campfire and discuss other spirits. That is, others in addition to those of our ancestors.
We heard many tales of other spirits who control the rivers, oceans and lakes, as well as those who live in the sky and control the rain. There were also stories told of sacred places where spirits inhabited mountains, trees and rocks. I loved hearing those stories from various individuals whom have had unique experiences and felt they had seen and communicated with those various spirits. Read the rest of this entry »
I am often asked if I can see auras. Yes, but in all honestly I see them only with deliberate focus and, in using techniques I learned in psychic development. I am more of a clairsentient when it comes to perceiving someone’s Aura. I ‘feel.’
The aura is an expression of a person, animal or any living being’s emotions and energies – physical, etheric, astral, mental and spiritual. It’s a subtle emanation surrounding the body, almost like a light cloud or luminous mist. The aura reveals one’s character, state of health, as well as one’s emotional nature and stage of spiritual development.
Bright primary aura colors are associated with good health, i.e. red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, whilst colors which have become dark or muddy in appearance are generally associated with disease or energy imbalances. When a healer examines the quality of the colors in the aura, he or she will often make an informed diagnosis. If a healer is really skilled, they can remove any offensive energy and bring one’s auric field into a healthy state of equilibrium. Read the rest of this entry »
If you are a passionate, committed person in a field that has become commercialized, it can be so very frustrating. One of the ways I deal with my frustration is with humor. Therefore, if you do not have a sense of humor, or take things very seriously, please do not read any further. If you do, you will be proceeding at your own risk.
I recently worked at a spiritual faire, which no members of the public bothered to attend. It ended up being just the bunch of ‘gifted’ vendors who spent the day talking incessantly about themselves, telling each other the same amazing stories, over and over again. These stories are meant to prove that they were meant to share their ‘gift’ with humanity. Not mentioned in any of these tales is the family money, or lawsuit money, alimony, family or spousal support payments, which helped to finance their perceived notions of being ‘chosen’ to do this work. Since I was a very young child, I always believed I would become a teacher and held on to that belief until I was somewhere in my late 20s. It came as a complete surprise to me to discover that this was not where my life purpose was heading. It is so easy to see where misinterpretations occur as one tends to look back.
Teachers commonly resonate with the color brown. They are usually, calm, dedicated, certainly prepared for the unexpected, as this is sure to happen occasionally when dealing with children of any age.
Teachers and instructors are most often also the ones who will donate extra time and energy to outside causes and have a general concern for what is happening in their environment. Good teachers usually volunteer to assist with extracurricular activities and do not anticipate a payback relating to their time and energy. Read the rest of this entry »
